Am not much of a football fan yet i knows mikel, so if u ask me i think mikel is more popular.

It seems most people that chose 2face being more popular, did not really understand the topic question. I will advise the OP to rephrase his question - Who is more popular in the world or Nigeria or Africa. May be that will let nairalanders understand the question better.
Because I don't think 2face enjoys large number of Non-Africans fans. Mikel has a great edge.

tanks for this post, we had this argument a month ago, why wld u tink 2face is more popular, lets put mikel bin a chelsea star apart,he plays for the super eagles of 9ja, football is just one language world wide/and 9ja is another great country worldwide.so if kaka,ronaldo are known worlwide, its simple, mikel is equally known that way too, which of brazils best selling artiste do u no of;no matter ow big they are on their continent.no wonder 2face took it too personal in his ONLY ME song, its just a fact

Again. It is not about how many countries you are known all over the world. But how many people that knows you.

If Mikel is know world wide  and say 1 million people know Mikel per coutry.

Then you should compare him to tuface of Nigeria that is known to a minimum of 70million people in Nigeria alone!!!!
