Here in Nigeria the news will read something like this. 35 dead, hundreds injured as police open fire on unarmed protesters.

IGP will vow to bring the killer policemen to book.
Nigerian youth will go violent on social media.
Senate will feature the incident in one of their sessions.
Buhari wouldn't utter a word.
Femi falana will release statement.
tinubu will blame Evans.
IPOB will release statement.
Afenifere will release statement.

then the case will dissolve like all others before it.

me I'm tired of this country o I want someone to take me out of here even if it's Ghana I'll manage it.

Just because some group of people block road they normally block during their religion processes. And common chief of Army staff felt that his life is more important that thousands of life. Killed them without remorse and nothing happened. cry
I hope you are okay?? You don't block roads without permission even if it regards religious or a ceremony.
Demonstrations is alright, but religious na na. Why dont winners block ota road every sunday or Redeem block Ibadan road every other week. Use your head and not your heart when posting comments next time.

Get a job, whatever honest job to make money and learn to live below your means, starting with selling your phone and data to pay your immediate bills.
That is what desperate people with dignity do. They get a job- running errands, sweeping, clearing gutter, toilets, washing/ironing clothes, cooking etc.
Only mentally poor people beg anyhow. Are you mentally poor as well

What are you saying sef
Stop spoiling our country's name anyhow when your name is not Buhari who keeps insulting Nigerians at the slightest opportunity.

Anambra poll: Buhari, Tinubu, others protest at INEC headquarters
November 28, 2013

Top leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) led by a former Head of State, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari defied police and military barricade to march on the headquarters of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in protest against the shoddy conduct of the governorship poll in Anambra State.

They demanded outright cancellation of the election by INEC.

They also called for the resignation of INEC Chairman, Prof. Attahiru Jega and dissolution of the management of the electoral body.

Reminiscence of pro-democracy struggle between 1993 and 1998 during the dark days of military era, the leaders trekked for about five kilometers from APC National Secretariat in Blantyre Street in Wuse II part of Abuja to Zambezi Crescent in Maitama District where INEC is located.

The initial stage of the trek was piloted by Governors Ibikunle Amosun (Ogun State) and Kayode Fayemi (Ekiti State) and many of the National Assembly.

The great trek was later coordinated by a former National Secretary of the defunct Congress for Progressives Change, Engr. Buba Galadima.

But when the procession took off, Buhari and some top leaders of APC withstood the rigours of standing in an open lorry for the protest march.

Others tucked in the lorry were the National Chairman of APC, Chief Bisi Akande, the National Leader of the party, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu; a former National Chairman of the defunct All Nigeria Peoples Party, Chief Ogbonnaya Onu; a former National Chairman of the defunct All Peoples Party(APP), Alhaji Yusuf Ali; ex-Governor Ahmed Sani Yerima, ex-Governor Segun Osoba; ex-Governor Niyi Adebayo; Senator Nazif Suleiman; the Deputy National Secretary of APC, Mallam Nasir el-Rufai, Senator Abu Ibrahim; and a former member of the House of Representatives, Comrade Dino Melaye.

Others who participated in the hectic protest were Senator Oluremi Tinubu; Senator (Prof.) Sola Adeyeye; Senator Domingo Obende; Senator Anthony Adeniyi; Senator Ahmed Lawan; Senator Gbenga Asafa; House Minority Leader, Hon. Femi Gbajiabiamila and the Chairman of the House Committee on the Diaspora, Hon. Abike Dabiri.

Others were the Deputy Minority Chief Whip in the House, Hon. Garba Datti; Deputy Minority Leader of the House of Representatives, Hon. Suleiman Kawu; Hon. Umar Bago; Hon. Adeola Solomon; Hon. Yakubu Balogun; Hon. Pally Iriase; Hon. Munir Hakeem; Hon. Abayomi Ayeola; Hon. Taiwo Adelekan; Hon. Adeyinka Ajayi; Hon. Gafar Akintayo; Hon. Sunday Adepoju; Hon. Ajibola Famurewa; the APC National Women Leader, Barrister Sharon Ikeazor, APC National Treasurer, and Hajiya Sadiat Umar Farouk,

Waving brooms amidst blare of revolutionary songs, traffic was brought to a standstill for about two hours along the ever busy Ademola Adetokunbo Street in Wuse II.

I didn't say blocking road without permission is right. But did it warrant the death of over 500 people?
You caannot just say they blocked road without necessary permission. Who knows if they have their police and local government clearance?
See how people from sane countries disperse protesters.
The question here is... If Burutai is a shia Muslim, will he ordered his boys to kill those that block road because of religion activity?
If not, that means its a religion war

Boris Johnson’s motorcade was briefly blocked by climate protesters while on his way to Buckingham Palace to meet the Queen before he officially become Prime Minister.

The question is will African citizen behave well if given d opportunity to be in close proximity with d nation head .... The security personnel are a reflection of how d country and citizen are also is d president

The police motorbikes and car flanking the incoming prime minister’s armoured Jaguar XJ Sentinel appeared to be caught off guard by the Greenpeace protesters who held hands to block the path of Boris Johnson.

The police along with Range Rover escort SUV quickly rushed to the scene to disperse the protesters before Johnson’s car was eventually able to get through.

Unlike the motorcades of United States and Russian President that boasts of dozens of armoured cars and motorbikes, UK Prime Minister's convoy only has few police motorbikes and two to three other SUVs.

The Greenpeace demonstrators had planned to hand the incoming Prime Minister a letter asking him to recognise there is a climate emergency. The police also confirmed that no arrest was made during the protest.

The question is --- Can demonstrators block the convoy of any African President be it a peaceful protest or a violent one?

In Nigeria, even if the pritest isnt disruptive, even if the police has been able to overpower and disperse the protesters, they somehow just have a way to still level their rifle to release a live fatal bullet. It's a tradition done just to fulfil all righteousness.

How many people died at Ojota?
How many at all the BBOG protest?

Yes they did colonise us. But we got our independence when we were not ripe for it. We should have been granted independence in 1990 or year 2000.

Protests in Nigeria, whether peaceful or violent always end in death. Its the fastest way to meet with your creator.

Its either you're tear-gassed, severely beaten or shot by our trigger-happy Police, pummelled and brutalized by soldiers or killed by stray bullets. As a matter of fact, protesting in Nigeria should be included in 1000 ways to die.
If Nigerians respect themselves and protest the way those people in picture progress, they will have no problem.

1. BBOG was a very very organised protest, but that doesn't mean they weren't teargassed on several occasions.
2. BBOG was mainly in Abuja where the police are a little bit more civilised than the rest of the country.
3. Again for BBOG, the world was watching with keen interest; it would have been disastrous if the security forces tried the usual madness.

As for Ojota, I one person was fatally shot live on camera in the usual Nigerian police tradition (to fulfill righteousness).

In Nigeria, you will die! Those lice will kill you without remorse and still justify their act of injustice, evil and despicable menace in accord with the presidency. Nigeria is a state that doesn't have a specific description. Nigeria is like an amoeba in shape, random in motion , and scalar in quantity. Damn this nation! The rate of her retardation is very high. The whole nation needs a total overhauling.... #shithole

They will call it coup attempt. That snipers were waiting around there and wanted to also hurl grenades. They will liken it to Murtala Mohamed assassination. They will quickly organise/threaten some innocent people to confess to being the snipers, complete with rifles from army's armoury.
Nor be 9ja?

Nobody was shot in Ojota oga.

Any well-organized protest won't record casualty worldwide, it has nothing to do with Abuja or bubunja.
