It is reported that 9 bodies have so far been found and buried according to Islamic rites at the Zaria road burial ground in Jos, the Plateau state capital, the proceeding was led by the Chief imam of the Jos central mosque in the person of Sheik Malam Lawal Adam

1 person is still in the Intensive Care Unit of the Plateau Specialist Hospital, while 1 more person, a welder, called Mubarak, who was said to have been working on the top floor of the collapsed building,is still missing.

Rescue operations are still ongoing.

Might be due to poor materials or construction too, not just design.

There are many buildings with this type of design standing very strong in lagos where land has to be managed.

The building must have failed an integrity test.
Quality materials should always be the watchword because what is worth doing at all, is worth doing well.
My condolence to the bereaved families. May God comfort them.

The lower the centre of gravity of an object, the more stable it is.
