Nigeria isnt getting rid of chemical fertilizer because the lobbies wont allow it. He's probably not against the dangote fertilizer plant being built or the synthetic fertilizer plants around the nation. I dont trust his assertions he's making. I dont think the issue been studied enough to say fertlizer causes kidney problems.

Watch it, Ogbeh will soon be sacked for this. Does he not know that the Dangote Fertilizer plant which over 6 Billion USD $ has been sunk into is going to be producing inorganic(Chemical) Fertilizer?

Another white elephant idea and killing a fly with hammer. We can still use chemicals all we have to do is find the more safer ones and encourage famers to use modern techniques of handling fertiliser.

So many companies will fold if FG should implement this. But that of grinding machine, I have been thinking of how metal grind against metal just to grind corn, beans, cassava etc without releasing metallic particles

Great news. If this happens, then it means we'll be able to export our beans, I think.

Mumu old cargo.. Even food grown organically in developed countries are a niche.. Most food that they consum rely heavily on chemical fertilzer use.. A quick glance on Google will reveal that Nigeria is not even using them optimally.... The main culprits causing problems are herbicide residues and copious use of chemical preservatives.. 3 Likes 1 Share |

![]() ![]() Anything wey come this man mind e go just talk am.... Whether e make sense or not. Brazilian grass, botched yam export, rejection of our beans abroad, high cost of agricultural produce.. What does a French graduate know of heavy metals? He is not aware that many people preserve foods with lethal chemicals like Sniper or Otapiapia. The man is just a disaster and as usual, the lifeless one 'doesn't know ' ![]() 1 Like 1 Share |

chukwugoziegi: I disagree because beans are banned from EU market over things like pesticides in food. Farmers and regulators should worry about meeting health regulations to make exporting easier. sacajawea: Sure it's possible but it isnt cost effective. You'll pay more for food. I think Nigeria already does well by banning GMO food products. 2 Likes |

This senile old man is just saying what he has little knowledge of. Most of the Items used in blending NPK fertilizers are sourced directly from the nature. While I also believe in the falacy of using 'organic' fertilizer at a grand scale, the limitations in the supply of the elements by nature cannot give us enough to produce the food the world needs to survive. The discovery of Inorganic Fertilizer is a major 'savior' for the world. Potassium, phosphate are needed by the body . Some of them are sold as supplements to individuals. Same with Calcium . These are some of the major components of NPK fertilizers. The last major components is Nitrogen. 2 Likes 1 Share |

This Audu Ogbeh man just talks anyhow. He goes to a place to commission a project, he makes a statement. Tomorrow when he goes to commission another, he makes a contradictory statement. The same man was preaching on why Nigeria should use 20:10:10 fertilizer. Did he not know it was chemical fertilizer?
