Manchester United’s injury troubles have not stopped them from securing results ever since the knocks and niggles start piling up all at once against Liverpool, but they haven’t yet shown much sign of improvement. Anthony Martial, who had to be taken off during that Liverpool match with a groin strain, is still unavailable, and has not traveled with the squad for the second leg of their Champions League Round of 16 tie against Paris Saint-Germain.

Martial’s deputy, Alexis Sánchez, suffered an injury at the weekend that definitely rules him out for Wednesday’s game and — in all likelihood — the rest of the season. In fact, with Juan Mata and Jesse Lingard still injured as well, Marcus Rashford and Romelu Lukaku are the only two senior attackers available to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. Youngsters Tahith Chong and Angel Gomes are in the traveling party, and will be the only attacking options available from the bench in Paris. Academy striker Mason Greenwood has traveled with the team, but since the teenager is himself only just fit again after injury, he only has an outside chance of making the matchday squad.

In midfield, United’s options are even more threadbare. Nemanja Matić and Ander Herrera are both injured, while Paul Pogba is suspended due to his red card in the first leg. Scott McTominay, Andreas Pereira, and Fred — who have all barely been seen this season up until very recently — are almost guaranteed to make up United’s starting midfield unit. The highly-rated 17 year-old James Garner is in line for a spot on the bench.

At the back, only Phil Jones remains unavailable (unless you count Matteo Darmian and Antonio Valencia, which you shouldn’t). Young full-back Diogo Dalot impressed when he was sent on as a substitute in an attacking position at the weekend, and is fairly likely to play there from the start on Wednesday.
