As we all know.

Christianity is a religion based on the
life and teachings of Jesus of Nazareth as
described in the New Testament of the Holy Bible.


Having known what the word Christianity implies; I want to know, why do we have so many Christian
denominations? What exactly is the essence?

"Christianity " simply means to be christlike. Romans who are Christ like introduced Catholic and Christ like British introduced Anglican, Americans who are Christ like introduced Pentecostal similarly CAC reflects yoruba culture in someways including praying style... hence all denomination are Christ like only difference is infussion of little cultural practice of it's originator

And you think only your small church can take the word of God to every part of the world... we even need more denominations
but the more we have them the more the evil of men increases...

People from different cultures like to express their faith and worship God in their own distinctive ways.
But the truth is that most of this denomination brings confusion and causes disunity.

Let's say, if am a pagan all my life, later I decide to Christianity, if I go to the Catholic Church, different teaching, if I go to Pentecostal, different teaching, it will cause confusion .

But, Like everyone else, Christians struggle with pride, selfishness, stubbornness, the desire to wield power, and
hypocrisy , so they sometimes respond to their disagreements poorly, hence the different denomination of churches just like Anglican Church was coined out of Catholic Church just because the King couldn't have his way.

BECAUSE BELIEVERS DON'T THINK FOR THEMSELVES, THEY FALL FOR CHARLATANS AND CONMEN OPENING PERSONAL CHURCHES WHERE THEY MILK THE GULLIBLE, CLAIMING THEY WERE INSTRUCTED AND INSPIRED BY GOD.

WHICH GOD INSPIRES THE CREATION OF OVER 20,000 CHRISTIAN DENOMINATIONS WORLDWIDE, ALMOST EACH ONE CLAIMING THEY'RE THE "CHOSEN", AND ONLY TRUE DENOMINATION FOUNDED BY GOD.

CHRISTIANITY, JUST LIKE EVERY OTHER RELIGION, IS A JOKE ON THE POOR, CONFUSED AND GULLIBLE.

Denomination is Satan's way of scattering the church..... You can argue with yourself if you like...

Most, if not all, denominant pastors all came from a particular church, but along the line, they left.... Even if God called them, why didn't they continue with the same church they were serving then?

And what we have today is competition and marketing. If you tell someone that you attend a particular church, he'll still want to force you to attend his own, because to him, his own is "where God is truly"

Obviously, as this thread itself shows, Christianity means slightly different things to different people. That is just more evidence that people believe different things about the same things.

According to the Bible, a Christian is anyone who believes in Jesus Christ.

But not many people really care what the Bible says. Most people are making things up and getting very emotional about it. Because they do, they form exclusive groups around their ideas and protect themselves thus from the Truth.

Local churches are very useful for believers who are interested in growing in the Truth to help and encourage each other to do so. So, ideally, local churches would be open to all Christians who believe in the Bible and are zealous for the Truth. But denominations are a different kind of animal. They tend to only be open to people who share their specific taste in lies.

This was my major reason for opening this thread.

I see it that self-interest and greed is the reason behind these church founders.

The denominations we have today is a testament that most of our worship is human driven and subject to the whims of man, most of which are not in sync with the Holy Spirit.

The early church was one, and even after the persecution, still reported to the Jerusalem council despite having many branches.

What we have today is even more appalling, mushroom churches springing up at every corner, mirroring the greed in us, as we constantly look for ways to milk out money from gullible followers.
Churches are increasing but immorality and iniquity abounds. We should reflect on that

The answer is GREED

Because the bible is a book of confusion

We are all deceiving ourselves.

All condemning one another.
