Most people keying into this "won't give beggars" trend have barely given a beggar more than 50 naira at a blow.

Not here to discredit anyone but how many of us have given a beggar more than 200 naira at a go.

When I say beggar it includes cooperate beggar.

If you live in any high brow neighborhood in Abuja you know what I am talking about.

Suddenly you feel like a demi god cos of the 10 .. 10 kobo you give beggars. I mean no disrespect.. just saying.

PS: I give hundreds and thousands very often; just like I believe Xmas and Salah are celebrations to make the poor and weak happy.

Oga I am a living witness. I saw it with my korokoro eyes behind ShopRite lekki about 10yrs ago. If I'm lying let me not see tomorrow. I was heartbroken to say the least, considering that almost every morning on my way to work, while the traffic drools, I will always give these guys, especially the elderly one something. I made conscious efforts to do that. I see them eating food from take-away packs and I wished I could also do same.

But mehn, after I saw what I saw and inquired from people around why they do so and was told it's cos they feel an infidel gave them the money, I hardened my heart.

Stop shifting the goal post. I stopped giving those idiots money 10yrs ago. Why can't they go and work? They even reject job offers. They prefer to beg.

What baffles me more is the aged amongst them. I usually wonder if they have been begging from the beginning or whether what... I just don't know.
