A young man has been killed in the ongoing cult war between , popularly called Aiye, and their Eiye rivals in Benin city, Edo state. It was learnt that the gang war has resulted in the killing of over ten persons in the last few days.

On Monday night, one undergraduate identified as John Terry (a suspected Eiye cultist) was killed along Upper Uwa Street off M.M Way Bénin City.

It was reported that the deceased was engaged as polling agent to one of the political parties in the February 16th postponed general elections.

Eyewitnesses said Terry was beaten to death with rods and sticks by his assailants.
