My wife had a premature delivery, not long ago, at a maternity clinic near our house at Agege and we have been told that the child needs to be on a ventilator to survive. I have been told that this can only be found in a hospital that has a neonatal unit.

This is an Emergency. Where can we find this type of hospitals in Lagos say around the mainland { Ikeja axis } etc

I know about Outreach Women and Children's Hospital in Festac. its a well equipped hospital. i know of a friend that delivered 850g baby late last year and was taken to Outreach, Festac, presently as i am talking baby is very fine and doing well. i think they have experience hands. you can try there

Which general hospitals kwa? Even if they do are we sure they have competent hands there to take care of the case? IS IT not in this same Lagos that a 5Billion naira renal unit was abandoned? I think this is more of a private hospital issue....we need names though.

I don't know about other general hospitals but I know gbagada general has a neonatal care unit with plenty of incubators. You can check orile agege hospital if they have but I doubt it

The hospital or whatever they call themselves should have referred you guys to a particular hospital that have the incubators.

Our system in this country stinks to high heaven.

The privately owned hospitals are quite expensive...try LUTH sha for Ikeja GRA....although that place sha you need to be prayerful and vigilant
