There was pandemonium in Ilorin on Tuesday when the annual apolitical gathering of Ilorin Emirate Progressive Descendant Union (IEPDU) was hijacked by ers of the Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki.

The incident occurred at the 53rd annual national conference of the IEDPU where the APC candidate, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq was invited to launch the 2019 almanac of the union.

Eye witness confirmed that prior to the event date, the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) in the state had mobilized some youth groups to be present at the event and allegedly paid them in order to hijack the gathering and humiliate the APC guber candidate.

This, according to sources is to swiftly react to the slogan of "O' toge" making rounds in the state and also mislead of the public ahead of the forthcoming general election.

According to a source, "Saraki knows that his days are numbered in Ilorin and Kwara politics. There is no doubt that APC and Abdulrahman Addulrazaq is the choice of the people in the forthcoming poll.

"When the APC governorship candidate was invited to the rostrum to announce his donation, PDP ers were intimidated by the wide acceptance of the APC candidate in the Emirate city of Ilorin and couldn't withstand the he enjoys from his ers.

"They quickly heeded to the instruction and plans of their paymaster to disrupt the event and embarrass the APC candidate.

"I can confirm to you that the people of Ilorin are now wise. There is no going back, we are sending Saraki back to his origin, enough of slavery, enough of armed robbery attack, enough of corruption and enough of politics of deceit." The source said.


An eye witness who was present at the gathering but who doesn't want to be named said the treatment given to the APC candidate is as a result of his unacceptance in the emirate and said all true sons of the emirate are solidly behind Saraki and will ensure he produces the next governor in Kwara.

Please must you tag everything that happens in kwara state on saraki And make other politicians look saint. Sincerely APC kwara can't win these way instead please tell them to go put their party together. The party is divided already and both sides have their candidate ( I know some people will still call this the hand work of saraki ), go resolve this issue first. Thanks

So Many of our youths are really not helping matters at all. It's all about noise making. If not, why is it that they always make themselves available for these politicians to be using to achieve sinister motive? Especially for political thuggery. This is very sad that a thing like this is happening at a time the clamour for youths to take over leadership of this country.
