The Nissan bus in the photograph below was donated to the Student Union Government of the University of Benin. The donation was made by the Government of ex-Governor Adams Oshiomhole.

The bus was gifted to the 2015/2016 Student Union Government led by Lauretta Obakpolo.

About 3 years after the bus was donated, the bus can be found abandoned and in a derelict condition within the campus.

why would anyone still think Nigeria would developed still amazed me. there is something wrong with the mind of a black man. you can train him to become a soldier, you can train him to become a doctor, you can train him to become an engineer, you can train him on how to be intelligent and to govern a nation. but you can never train him on how to understand the world.

UNIBEN got it wrong. During struggle u dont take donations from government and the school authority.
You contribute money from the student union and get yourselves a bus - a lemon that works is okay.
Being a student in Nigeria, is all about struggle. The last thing u wont to do is take alms from your oppressors. They will grind u at will.

BTW, it should be a student union and not a student union government. The mentality is different only if they understand.
