Parents and guardians have been warned to be careful how they leave children/wards with toys to play with, most especially unsupervised..

This latest warning is coming following a minor surgery done on a little boy to remove a toy which got stuck in his throat.

The boy was rushed to the University College Hospital, Ibadan in Oyo state as the doctors attended to him and put him to sleep before removing the toy from his throat as can be seen in the pictures.

A social media wrote; UCH, Ibadan doctors surgically removes toy stuck up in little boys throat. Parents, let's be careful with toys around the kids. God help us all.

God will help us look after these kids. I don't blame his parents. You really cannot look after them 100%.

One second you take your eyes off, they do one mischievous move.

It's very difficult to ensure there's an eye on a little kid all the time. Toys such as this come with warnings that it can be swallowed and as such, parents and guardians should be watchful. However, I will not blame his guardians for this mishap, instead, I will praise the doctors at UCH Ibadan for a job well done. Doctors save lives.

Good news, atleast they don't need to rush him abroad.

Drop that and they will do so, immediately you turn your back they will pick it up and disappear. It's not easy at all, God's protection fall on them

These kids needs proper monitoring

I was at ENT in GH lagos Island and heard that a kid swallowed balloon too. They surgically removed it in October, 2018

That's how one careless couple put sniper insecticide in their house only for their 2 kids to drink it.

As at today, one is dead and the other is hanging in the balance.

What of boob?

I the kid that lived next to us back in 2005, he swallowed berries accidentally and it went through the wrong pipe, he didn't tell anyone, went into the house and started drinking water so that it'll go down but it didn't. Not long, he started coughing up blood and people around rushed him to the nearby hospital. He died few hours later.
He was just 6.
