Mine was Tecno L8plus, normally I know tecno is not an excellent product but my phone had emmagency shot down even though it was old but I was delaying the demise of the phone till when I will have enough money to buy another quality phone but the phone refused to comply.

The phone could not wait for me to gather money b4 it finally packed up so I was forced to enter Bannex plaza in Abuja with small budget. Most of the marketers in Bannex only sells tecno, infinix and itel so I settled for the lesser evil " tecno". However b4 then, criminals nairaland tecno marketers had hype tecno L8 and plus version, different positive testimony not knowing that they are all lying, that was how I went straight for Tecno L8 plus.
First the screen was not as responsive as my previous phones, I thought that will be sorted out through calibration but it a big lie, it was inferior quality screen product. Next was the resolution and I got used to that one, then the phone gets hot but the most annoying is the ment, there was no way to turn it off and the stupid advert gave me head pain, anytime I found a solution to it, stupid tecno will push hios software update which will make the advert comes back with great and annoying intensity. You can't do anything meaningful without the advert popping up, sometime in the middle of calls and you will not be able to drop ur calls on time until you canceled the advert unless you begged the person you called to end it for you.
Finally I did not wait for the phone to die b4 I buried it and buy another phone.
I v made up my mind, no amount of hyping, urgent need for phone pressure, financial pressure or any other means will push me to buy tecno or it likes.

The worst phone I have used was the tecno r7.
The phone I will never advise anyone to buy are these:
Itel all brands.
Infinix device with less than 3gig ram and cost above 45k.
All tecno brands.
Elephone.

The overhyped noise made me buy the phone..

Coming from a Galaxy Note 2 with its AMOLED screen made screen looks extremely washed out..

The battery was piss poor and always dying by noon,

The worst was THE GPU,even the simplest Games hangs like craze..

I swore off Mediatek phones after that,

I had to dash out the phone after 3 months,it was that bad..

To their credit,they have come a long way since 2015..
I use the Mi Max 3 currently,my first Xiaomi since then and it has been a happy experience..

thats nice to hear bro, the young shall grow,unfortunately most xiaomi fans don't believe in that when it comes to other brand.

I don't think I've ever regretted any phone I've bought. I've had a ZTE, 3 Tecno and now Infinix. But I've seen my peers struggle with some phones and among the most regrettable was itel s31, Tecno w4 for its freezing, and a refurbished Samsung note 4 for over heating, poor battery and freezing.

Phone can't collect Android games and doesn't play store even when I saw Android 4.4 in the settings..
The camera is just a poo of mess.(the Java phones has a better camera than this one)
The display be like all those old black and white lcd television from the 90s....
Speaker That one na sound nor be speaker.....
After one week of use , I returned the phone ...collect my money with oppression ..

It was always overheating which caused the battery to drain, hanging like say tomorrow no dey, reboots anytime it feels like even when I'm browsing or ing, then finally crashed. The phone almost made me cry shaa but I refused to cry
I jejely dumped it and bought huawei y9, I now have peace of mind.

I also use Huawei Y9 2019 model and nothing bad for now, using yeye brand of phone is like have serious problems in your life, you will constantly have headache anytime the stupid phone starts it's craziness.

I'm sure huawei can't, they have brand to protect and they are not specifically made for Nigeria, infact Nigeria is just by the way market. The problem with tecno is that they are meant for market like Nigeria and something similar, they don't care about brand, product quality, durability and efficiency, they can afford to take people for granted since there is no competition, no body/organization to scrutinize them and the market itself does not know her left from right. People lack basic knowledge of device, how it works, function of it major parts parts such as proccessor, ram etc all they care about is phone, make calls and take pics. Most People can't deffrenciate 2011 processors from 2018 proccessor, low range proccessor from midrange or , they don't know the capability, technicality and functions, so tecno, infinix or itel can afford to put in 2011 proccessor in a phone, slam camera on it and copy the latest design, ignorant Nigerians will go for it without any clue they are buying 2011 phones. Can u imagine Huawei or xiaomi or OPPO or Vivo, or One+ or Samsung to do that, if they try it they have successfully knock themselves out of a very competitive market and they will pay dearly for it.

I argue with them alot because people kept quiet in the past was the reason they succeeded in their lies and impunity, however when u argue and brings out point, some people with working brain will wake up and see the light. That is why you see serious revolution in phone section.
