SANWO-OLU ON ‘THANK YOU’ VISIT TO LAGOS EAST SENATORIAL DISTRICT, REITERATES COMMITMENT TO INCLUSIVE GOVERNMENT



The Governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress in Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, on Friday continued his tour of the three senatorial districts in the State with a visit to Lagos East. The thank you visit was put together by the Babajide Sanwo-Olu Campaign Organization to show appreciation to the leadership and of the party who voted for him during the recent primary election in the State.

The tour, which took off in Lagos Central senatorial district on Thursday had all the leaders as well as of the APC in the Lagos East Senatorial district in attendance.

Speaking on the reason for the visit, the Director General of the Babajide Sanwo-Olu Campaign Organization, Mr. Tayo Ayinde said the Sanwo-Olu team was at the Senatorial district to thank everyone for coming out in large numbers to cast their ballots in of Babajide Sanwo-olu’s governorship aspiration. He said their love and , which were shown adequately before, during and after the primary election will not be taken for granted.

Ayinde further stressed the need for a united front as the party goes into the general election against other political parties in February 2019. He promised that the campaign team will work with all the party leaders in order to bring into the campaign fold, all those who are aggrieved as a result of the House of Assembly and House of Representatives elections.

‘’we won’t allow the fallout of the House of Assembly and the House of Representatives primary elections to jeopardize the unity of the party.’’ Ayinde said.

He however promised to secure more than two point five million votes for Sanwo-Olu in February 2019.

In his remark, the APC governorship candidate Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu started by thanking of the party in the district for accepting his candidacy in spite of the impromptu nature of entry and the short campaign period.

‘’you accepted my aspiration as impromptu as the journey was. We’re just starting, it’s a marathon and I can assure you that we won’t restrict the campaign to one location.’’ Sanwo-Olu said.

Sanwo-olu speaking on the disparity between the very rich and the very poor, promised that his government will ensure that it reaches out to everyone no matter how lowly they might be in the society.

‘’our government shall be a listening government. We will not condone wastage but will be fair to everybody. We will ensure that everyone is a participant in our government and will provide greatest good to the greatest people.’’ Sanwo-olu emphasized.

Leaders of the Lagos East Senatorial District, including Otunba Bushura Alebioshu, Senator Anthony Adefuye and Chief Olorunfunmi Bashorun pledged their total for the governorship candidate, saying his emergence was nothing but divine. They however onished the governorship candidate of the party to stay true to his promise to the district, when elected in February 2019.

The senatorial leaders also urged all of the party to see themselves as one indivisible entity as the party goes into the general election next year.

Speaking on behalf of the Senatorial leader, Chief Bashorun congratulated Sanwo-Olu on what he described as a well-deserved victory in the primary election. He advised the APC flag bearer to carry everyone along, saying that the mandate given to him is from the whole of Lagos State.[b][/b]
