The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has alleged that the All Progressives Congress (APC) had concluded plans to disrupt its convention slated for Saturday and Sunday, in Port Harcourt.

The PDP National Publicity Secretary, Kola Ologbinduyan made the allegation at a press conference held at the party’s national secretariat Thursday, in Abuja.

“There are plots by the ruling party to disrupt our national convention. We are aware of the machinations of the ruling party which is afraid of the election to halt the efforts of the opposition to elect a candidate to go into a contest with President Muhammadu Buhari,” Ologbondiyan claimed.

When asked to give details about the plot, the opposition spokesman said, “It can be any form of machination; it could be by court, or any other form and we are alerting Nigerians of the efforts to stop our national convention.”

He however said no force or any form of intimidation would stop the PDP from electing its presidential candidate as scheduled.

He said the party has written to all formations of government notifying them of the convention slated for Port Harcourt. He added that accreditation for participants would be done in Port Harcourt.

In a related development, our correspondent gathered that all organs of the party have concluded plans to meet with all the presidential aspirants and key stakeholders of the party ahead of the convention.

The essence of the meeting, Daily Trust learnt was to pave way for the aspirants to interact in order to ensure a hitch-free exercise and ensure there is no post-convention crisis.

I foresee Atiku going to court if any other aspirant emerges as the evil party's flagbearer. He won the AIT polls by a landslide

Saraki who has also won several Twitter polls might not be able to handle it if he loses.

Abeg if una no know wetin to do again, make una kukuma endorse Buhari, hands with am, make we save and channel election budget to something else. At least we'll all do the next four years together from the sidelines.

Just look at his answers when asked how he thinks APC would disrupt the convention.

My own Advice is for people to stay away from the PDP convention. Don't allow their blood splash on to you while they are killing themselves.

This one's don't even know what they are doing.
They are still here playing criticizing politics with the way APC have already gone 10steps ahead of them after they will be shouting rigging. The crowd I saw today with this APC direct primary system made me just give up on Buhari loosing. Only this APC card carrying member are capable of giving sizeable number of votes to any candidate contesting under their party. If Lagos crowd for APC election reach all this ones today. Abeg Kano own supposed reach 2million. Not exaggerating ooo. U can go and check tomorrow at any voting centre. The major opposition patty we have are still fighting over unnecessary things. The competition is over from the beginning.

Brother don't mind the guy.

He is having a doubt about the whole exercise.
He's trying to hold onto the possibility of a fight breaking put during the convention so he can hang it in APC.

He couldn't decipher what method the APC will use to disrupt the process. Look at his answers, all were it could be court, it may be machinery. it could be another thing.
Someone who knows what he's doing would say with all certainty the main method the APC wants to use.

Someone who's not ready to take responsibility for his errors cannot move forward.

That being said, both the APC and PDP and their actors are Nigeria's problem.
