True. A guy went as far as getting information about where my colleague works after she told him. The guy went as far as finding out about salary, benefits, upfronts, allowances...everything. He packaged himself and they got married. Need i go further?!

*Who else are you chatting with?
*What are you doing now?
*What are you wearing now?
*Any sexual talk... When all these come from people I'm just getting to know, I become sceptical.

I know that is how it always goes. Some men are just crude. But the truth is that not all men who ask 'where do you work', want to be good diggers, okey. It's terrible when innocent women get into this kind of mess.

What do you girls expect when it's always we guys that are supposed to be leading the conversation, we just have to ask these questions to keep the conversation going. It is more obvious when we are trying to know a new friend, once we are conversant with this person then the questions reduce. Most of these questions are asked innocently with no ulterior motive but just for the sake of conversations.

I beg to differ...

These questions are. means of igniting a conversation or just for the purpose of conversation. Asking if a lady has eaten doesn't really mean he wants to do abracadabra and food will appear, if she hadn't eaten.

In common civilized parlance, women are very comfortable with such questions because they see it as a norm and men can't help it. Only in this part of the world that women feel one must be an expert in conversation without asking these questions and when the man is seeming boring or adamant just in a bid to avoid being tagged a pest or stupid for asking such questions, this same women will come crying "Negligence!" on the man's part.
Although some men ask these questions haphazardly, it is still permissibly commendable to ask as a means of initiating a conversation.

But as for me, can't the last time I gave a lady an attention in the name of chatting her up. I simply mind my business. Highest is "good morning and good afternoon" unless there is an important information I need from you, apart from that, you can remain in my handle for years without even a "Hi" from me let alone a phone call.

I don't think a guy asking you where you work is such a bad question, except if he's so fixated on how much you make

Well said bro. I couldnt agree more. The truth is, the average nigerian girl cannot engage in a 'decent' conversation. More often than none, chatting with a Nigerian girl is somewhat like a Q&A section ( i mean last time i checked i wasnt no fvcking shrink ). I mean you guys gotta do better than the usual "FINE" response to the "How are u"? question..you know. That said, many a time, these questions you guys tag somewhat useless are most times asked in an attempt to get on with the convo

Off course. There is a way you might even know that a guy is into you because you have a good job.
