The former Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has visited the Abia State Governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu in the executive chambers of Government House, Umuahia, with a request for the State party faithful to his presidential aspiration.

Alhaji Abubakar pointed out that the 16 years of the PDP in Nigeria brought great growth and development in Nigeria and regretted that the APC led istration has within three years in office reversed the entire development to hunger, disunity, insecurity, bad economy and religious intolerance.

Receiving his guest and his entourage, the Abia State Governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu assured Alhaji Abubakar that the Abia State party faithful would take a good decision on who to vote for in the primary elections of the party.

He expressed joy that the former Vice President knows the problems of Nigeria and possesses the capacity to lead well based on his pedigree.

Highlights of the visit was presentation of copies of his book on Restructuring: The Pathway To Peace And Unity.
