I'm not amazed you don't think at all or opinions that don't agree with you would not blindly be labelled what you might be.

Personally, I think taliban was not a top priority of Obama and his approach was containment and not defeat, and the taliban sure weren't prepared to negotiate on any he could propose. Trump on the other hand, with the past in consideration, is now better placed with a more appropriate attitude with which to deal with them. Though, imo, taliban don't do deals!
