For Engineers Australia assessment, what can I use as tax payment proof? I have used tax certificate ed from my page on Lagos Inland Revenue but my assessor is still requesting for proof.
For pension contributions, I used statement ed from my pension body but my assessor is still requesting for pension proof.
For reference letter, must it be exactly 5 duties? I included 6

Good evening everyone.
Is there any social worker here who has gone through the AASW skill assessment process who can share their experience on how it works?
I currently hold a Bachelor's degree in Social Work from University of Ilorin, and I'm in the middle of my masters programme in Social Work, in Hungary. I wrote an academic IELTS with an overall score of 7.5, however, I had 6.5 in writing.
I currently have 4+ years of social work experience and I'd be happy if anyone can advise me on the subclass route I should explore.

Reference letter must be a minimum of 5. you cannot have anything less than that
get an actual statement from your pension company
get the lagos tax card alongside your tax statement

good afternoon my people. please I'm almost done with my CDR report. on EA platform, each episode shld be btw 1000 to 2500 words but my episode 3 has upto 3500 words. I feel everything is important and would nt like to reduce the words, should i go ahead and submit it like dat ? is there a penalty for exceeding the benchmark given?

An excerpt from the MSA:

"Do not present excessive textbook materials and instructions. It is recommended that each narrative be a minimum of 1000 and maximum of 2500 words."

I believe you've submitted your application. But should in case, here are some little insights for you and any future applicant.

In Engineering assessment, following instructions is very sacrosanct. I will advise you to stick to the recommended word counts by EA.

In my case, I didn't exceed the 2500. My first, second and third Career Episodes are 2380, 2368 and 1853 words respectively. I made sure I didn't exceed the 2500 maximum stipulated words.

Also, to get positive outcome for your chosen occupation without being assessed as an Engineering Technologist by your assessor, make sure that you sufficiently align your CDRs with the actual roles of your occupation as your CDR will be assessed against the ANZSCO definition of your occupation.

To be successful with this, ensure to pick all the important keywords mentioned in the ANZSCO of the occupation and used them in both your summary statement and CV.

Reason for this is that some persons that fail to align their CDRs very well with the roles mentioned in the ANZSCO of their occupations always end up being assessed as an Engineering Technologist instead of professional Engineer, with reason being that they were unable to tailor the CDR to match the roles of their actual occupation.

But you can prevent this by using the appropriate ANZSCO keywords and roles of your occupation in your summary statement and CV.

You can only express interest to the state you reside.
WA allows interstate applicants too.
just those 2.
Also your point is low. You both should be writing English test

Hi Boss, I have had a look at the link above and I am genuinely interested to relocate to Australia via this route. Please, could you put me through on how to find employers or where to find job vacancies in this sector?
I will be most glad to get a response from you. I am currently in the UK and on post study permit.

Honestly, I can't but there are some Agedcare facilities/agencies that do sponsore people from countries like Philippines and Oceania.

I'll leave that to @tunlex01

Yes it should. If it wont be acceptable, you can replicate what i did in my case, I had my school send my transcripts to my office so i picked it from there and used

3. I scored 8, 8, 8, 7.5 (overall 8.0) in my ielts. how many points will that fetch me?
10 points. I'll suggest you do one skill retake for the section you had 7.5, and try to get 8. That moves you to 20 points

Thank you

He meant that one can book one section of the IELTS especially where you got 7,5 to in order to get 8....if you have 8 in all four section that is 20points.

But the problem is you can only book this within 60 days of the first examination. Read more here

If you desire a better score, you are allowed to retake only one section of your ielts within 60 days of the initial test. It's called One Skill Retake and it's usually beneficial for people that have results like 6,6,6,5 or 7,7,7.5,6 or 8.5,8,8,7. If you're in this kind of situation, you can Retake only the section where you had a lower score so that you can level up with the other sections to achieve competent, proficient or superior.

Hello everyone,

Please I need some advice for my situation. I am planning to go for Substream 189.

I graduated with a degree in Civil Engineering in 2017. however, I worked in engineering for about 8 months before switching to Software Engineering.

Someone Advised me to still apply for 189 with Civil Engineering and when I get to Aussie, I can continue with my IT since I am skilled with it. Please is this possible and wouldn't cause any issues?

Also, I have spoken with my boss I worked with before in the Civil Engineering Field, and he would provide me with a Reference Letter to help me claim a professional experience of 5 years in the Civil Engineering Industry. Would there be any foul play or issues arising from this?

Your help would be greatly appreciated, my people.

@Mojolajesu
I recently sumbitted my career episodes for assessment with Engineer Australia that I believe will be the body that will handle your assessment. I was asked to provide pay slips covering all the periods and evidence of tax payment. Is there a way for you to provide these docs also? I will suggest you go for what you can provide evidence for and providing inaccurate information is frown upon.
mojolajesu(m): 9:07pm On Jan 06
Thank you for your response.

Can you please confirm any of the following? Cause from their website, they say one can either provide
1. Acknowledgement or receipt of income tax return lodgement
2. Superannuation fund statements, and social security insurance statements.
3. Work Permit, permanent residence or other official government documentation showing your employment.

I planned to use number 3 and also submit pay slips with bank statements and hopefully, they won't request for the tax payments.

@ Mojolajesu

1) I was asked to provide payslips for the period am claiming points for

2) In my case, I was asked to provide evidence of HMRC tax docs and this has my name and NI.

3) I was not asked for this.

Did you apply from Nigeria? what is HMRC? how did you get that? I currently have a tax ID from my previous employers but I am not sure if they pay my Tax and I don't even know how to check.

Please I sent you a dm, if you don't mind to connect with me for better clarification

Hello

a quick question, please.

If I get a positive assessment with EA, I use it to get my 189 visa approved. does it mean when I get to Aussie, I can only work around the engineering field? is it possible I switch to the IT field when I get there?
