I noticed that there are only few and many closed threads on the life, study , Visa requirement and processes for Austria. Is it that there are no Nigerian student over there? Please this thread is created for the purpose of enlightenment on the said topics.
I know a few of the process already. But people's personal experience will go along way to help those interested in following this path.

I just reviewed their website visa process seem easy,again so much chances for work permit unlike Netherlands,Denmark and other European countries that would want someone to work under employers for 5yrs before they issue work permit.

I even checked their jobs website they have jobs for different sector unlike Netherlands that is just more on Technology jobs

How can someone documents legalised

Legalization is done at the Austrian embassy.
Before that you should have certified the documents at the Federal ministry of education and the ministry of foreign affairs all in Abuja.

the documents you legalize are those required for your ission to university and those for your student visa.
The one for school e.g degree certificate, transcripts, waec etc are based on the school's requirements. Late for your interview some documents are required to be legalized as written on the checklist. It is adviced to apply for legalization for the documents visa and ission same time.


Some school allows you to apply then you go for legalization once accepted and send them later by Mai.

Most schools in Austria would want you to do your verification and legalization first before a proper ission letter would be issued.
I that the legalization and the verification which is a very thorough one, when I say thorough, I mean thorough cause the Lawyer would call everywhere that you listed every school and your siblings listed to that everything is genuine. I know it use to be One hundred and twenty thousand naira not sure of how much it is now since the exchange rate crash.

Out of the 3 schools I shortlisted to apply to 2 allows applications without legalization. Legalized documents
Are required to be sent in once you have been accepted.
TU Graz my main choice of course require legalized documents only.
The verification process cost 120k.
In the entire process I guess it's only the documents verification processes that cost the more.

Unlike UK.. US or Canada... they pay relatively between 1200 euros to 1500 euros per year.

there is a website created by the austrian authorities for dat... I shared it earlier I guess the Mods. Removed it I don't know why... you can check it online Studienwahl dot at. You can get access to all the universitis in their country and choose your preferred course and the preferred language and the schools will pop out

Please, I will like to ask, Do Austrian universities accept 2.2 for their Msc issions. That info isn't on the university's website.
Again, Is TOEFL compulsive for Nigerians knowing fully well that the mode of study for a BS degree was in English.

yeah 2.2 is accepted, you need to present a very good motivation letter to express your motivation in the chosen course.

Many school do not require this certificate (am sure) during my search only university of upper austria made it mandatory.
Just check the requirements. It varies from school to school.

Please at the end of February. ....let's all make a poll to know those who are on this ride.... so that we may work closely together.

3. Some school requires you apply directly online while some you their application form and send it by airmail. (Also expecially the ones you fill online may permit you to apply with legalizing your documents but to do so when you application is accepted. While for others you must legalize your docs.
TO LEGALIZE YOUR DOC.
To legalize your docs it entails the following processes
