The Lagos State Government has upgraded Agege Stadium to host the CAF championship matches

Compensation will be paid to affected persons due to ongoing construction works including residents of Agege, Ikorodu , Igbogbo and Owutu.

Asisat Oshoala made a lot of contributions towards the development of football in Lagos State in 2016 and 2017.

A good example is the Asisat Oshoala Foundation Lagos State Schools Football Clinic. It was held in conjunction with the Lagos State Government and 5,000 school girls from 40 schools took part in the programme. It was held in 5 centres across the state (Teslim Balogun Stadium, Onikan Stadium, Campos Mini Stadium, Agege Stadium and Epe) and the MVP from each centre got a scholarship to study and play football in China.
