Who is awake and who is ready for some intellectual debate?
Tribalists and bigots shot stay clear!

My best President has to be Yaradua. He had the intention of fixing Nigeria. He did so much in his short time with us including;
Amnesty for the Kidnappers and agitators in ND.
He declared his asset openly.
The economy was quite stable during his time and that was because oil was selling at a century-high of 147usd per barrel.
He was fortunate in of revenue. He grew out external reserve to 62billion USD. We would have had more to write about lest for the untimely death that took the meek but devoted man away from us. He

Next on my list is Obasanjo. He met a meagre 3billion USD in our reserve and he grew it to 43billion USD in 8 years. He had a very viable economic team led by NOI and Soludo. He was able to travel all around the world due to his physical fitness and health status despite being in his 60s. He, along side his team were able to pay off some of our huge external debts while others were forgiven. He, however failed in the aspect of power generation after spending a whopping 16billion USD. It was rumoured that his vice, Atiku Abubakar diverted the funds. He also failed to embark on capital projects in the south but did excellently well in the North. He tried to elongate his tenure by trying to bribe his way through the National Assembly or so it was rumoured.

The last two on my list are Buhari and Jonathan respectively.

I need someone to argue with me intelligently on the first two. I am feeling sleepy already. Someone should knock me with superior argument biko.
You have sense,honestly.

I don't like to argue too much, so please pardon me upfront.
Ebola Owu is corruption personified. Take it or leave it.
Thanks.

Bro. We are all here to learn. I have not confirmed OBJ as a corrupt person because he was never convicted of corruption. All we heard were rumours until confirmed true. But I told you some of the negative things about him like he couldn't even fix d road to his home town. He did no capital project in the south. Bro, we are talking about OBJ and not Goodluck o. If I bring the diary of saved archive of names Goodluck was called on the internet, Nairaland no go contain am. I still won't judge him with those. I will judge on facts like he didn't even believe that Chibok girls were truly kidnapped. He allowed his wife to hijack Rivers and Bayelsa government while undermining the state governors. He also surrounded himself with rogues and stripped the reserves empty. Yaradua left 62b USD in the CBN reserve but Goodluck deplicted it to 31b USD despite the huge revenue from oil as it sold for as high as 140usd per barrel.

Why are you using double standards for the same set of people.
Not convicted- until confirmed true for Ebola Owu.
Has Jonathan or even his wife being convicted or any of the stories you say are on the internet CONFIRMED true
Please don't tempt me into calling you an ignorant hypocrite oh, abeg.

The price of oil was never at $140 under Jonathan who took over in 2010, rather the price started dropping in 2012 hence the 36 state governors were putting pressure to cushion the effect with ECA draw downs since we all rejected their subsidy removal, which the dullard has now implemented.

FG, States, LGs Share N568.4 Billion for Oct
15 NOVEMBER 2013

Also, $1billion was proposed for distribution to complement shortfall in expected revenue." The $1billion is a compromise by the FG over its words in September not to augment shortfalls anymore.

Responding to the presentation, the chairman of the States Commissioners of Finance and Ebonyi State Commissioner of Finance, Mr Timothy Odaah, lamented that the statutory allocation was getting smaller and smaller. "It appears this is the worst in of returns. This is the least in allocations as far as this year is concerned. We are mourning the dearth of funds and this is a wakeup call for states and local governments to buoy up their internally generated revenue."

While appreciating the "magnanimity" of President Goodluck Jonathan to approve the $1billion from the excess crude and to be shared among the federal, state and local governments, Odaah expressed disappointment with the returns made by the NNPC.

He said that the states had requested for $2bn to complement for the shortfall in revenue but got only $1billion. In September, Odaah and fellow commissioners had walked out of the ant General of the Federation (AGF) when the federal government said that the framework of the 2013 budget was no longer realistic and it won't augment shortfall in revenue. Odaah raised issues with the statutory allocations of previous months.

Bro, I have not written about Goodluck. I only countered the newspaper pages you attached. I said if I wanted pages of insults on Jonathan, Nairaland will not contain it. However, I mentioned some weak points like he was surrounded by rogues. Stella was indicted, Diezani is still under investigation, Obanikoro had a plea bargain, FFK's case is still ongoing, Olisa metuh is still ongoing.

You asked if Goodluck or his wife was convicted. His wife is still answering cases in the court of law. Rotimi Amaechi had a messy fight with PEJ and left PDP after PEJ tried to hijack Rivers from him. My bad, I have Googled all through and I can't find any evidence of 140usd but it was above 100usd. He was the highest earner in all of the presidents we have had but had very little to show for it.

Bro, you have not argued with points and basis. You have only made the argument look like a must-win and not a learning process for us.

You are very confused so I will leave you with your glaring confusions.
When you are able to sort them out, including the difference between indicted and convicted, please let me know.
Cheers.

Good stuff. Rumoured because I have no evidence he did. Rumoured because he denied it. Do you have any evidence he sponsored the 3rd term bid truly. You made good point about Goodluck and education. Need I clear you that Goodluck was an educational person, P.hd holder, former teacher, lecturer. His own policies and focus was on education. Obasanjo's tenure was more economic driven, anti- corruption crusade.

Go and get your facts straight and stop ranting likd a loose dog. it is a known fact that nigeria was the second most corrupt country after haiti under obasanjo's regime.

I have seen so many replies to this post but i beg to differ to the fact that jonathan earned more than buhari on the issue of crude oil revenue. [i stand to be corrected though]. if a barrel of crude oil was sold for $100 at an exchange rate of 200 naira to a dollar, that means nigeria sold a barrel of crude oil at 20000 naira under gej's regime. the same barrel crude oil sold at $60 at an exchange rate of 370 naira under buhari's regime which gives us 22700 naira. so, who is actually earninh more since t

10 years later, you are still spreading a rumor that have not been found valid.
Has Atiku been indicted? No
Has Atiku been convicted or even arraigned in court? No

Why did the corruption tag start after Atiku disrupted the 3rd term plot

That is why i said it was rumored. Or did u see convicted in my statement. Read to understand, not to criticize. Have you wondered why Atiku has refused to travel abroad since he left the government? Well, i have been wondering too but i have no answer to it since Buhari couldn't leave the country till he became the President.

And I said that you are repeating a rumor to refresh it

Atiku has traveled to UK, Dubai and far Asia
When asked, he confirmed that he had applied for visa to USA but they hold it on what they called istrative clearance.
US embassy confirmed that Atiku was not wanted in America but could not give reasons why his visa application is on hold.
My thinking - Obasanjo connection

I wrote about OBJ's istration. Their achievements and failure so there is no way i won't mention that. You that their key agendas were corruption and power. But they couldn't deliver the stable power supply despite expending 16billion USD.
