They shouldn't only relocate computer village other markets in environ should go too. If they really want to achieve their goal. However what would be the financial implications

Such a pity. The location is pretty much perfect...moving them out to the outskirts of Lagos will pretty much cripple the market. I'm pretty sure this is aimed at freeing up that prime real estate for private individuals. Don't be surprised if that land gets turned into estates for the affluent. 4 Likes 1 Share |

SmartchoicesNG:Dominated by quack repairers who are mainly Yorubas. Others sell stolen phones. If that's the domination you're talking about, then I agree completely. We know the real business men in computer village. 2 Likes |

If the Lagos state government truly wants to change things, they should start by moving the drug market in Idumota to a clean and safe environment like Trade fair shopping complex. But that one is untouchable, since the Obas around there use the money they get from there as their salaries. 3 Likes |

Isn't it too late to return Otigba back to residential area? The whole of that axis has been heavily commercialised.

bionixs:must una quote anything u see. He replied the guy who wants to turn the tread to ibo/Yoruba nonsense but u did not see that one.. Yoruba are not dominant in computer villa in major accessories and phones stuffs but in the of management and union they are the ones in cntrol. That's exactly what he meant 1 Like |

The problem is not relocating but how to make that place attractive and secure. The crime rate in kantagua is on high note, dirty and rough. I think govt should come out and show plan to develop the place to suit the propose [ ICT ] park Secondly what about the second hand cloth trader, spare part trader and mechanic that currently occupy the place, though they had agreed to move to Kola in Alagbado where the previous istration allocated but there is no enough plan to move them there and to develop that site Lastly, what govt is going to do to address the odour that will emanating from the abandon dump site close to the proposed ICT village. |
