I read a story where Jonathan was talking to pressmen shortly after he became governor of Bayelsa and he described himself as a poor fisher boy who never knew he would go to school talk less of being a deputy governor let alone a governor. Today, that fisherboy is the president of Nigeria. One intriguing thing there is that while the man sits quietly in Aso Rock, the whole nation, across ethic lines even across religious divide, was clamouring that he be made the acting president. This man's star surely has God's hands on it and its really shining bright. I am convinced his parents must have prayed fervently to God asking what name to give to him when he was born. He might just turn out to surprise all of us by what he would achieve within the little time available to him. |
