I'm really confused as I write this. My mum was able to secure a place for us to stay with the last 120k she had before retirement. She and my dad are both retired now with pension not forthcoming. Things have really been tough since then but we have managed. The major concern is the rent. It expires by October ending (three months time).


Knowing the stern nature of our landlord, is there any work I can do to raise 40k monthly for the next 3 months. I don't mind the nature of the work as we badly need to secure the roof over our head. I will be most grateful if any one can help out.

For the other advice, hmmm.. I actually have a teaching job where I am paid 8k. This is what we use to manage. I was thinking maybe I could get a flexible job to add to it as I close by 4pm.

The school owner is even saying we would not be paid during the holiday due to low funds. The thing eh.. I will search for a drycleaning firm.

I understand. I almost died the day I tried one. But you said any type of job. I suggest you try home lessons. Can't you borrow from friends around, Facebook page, whatsapp list, etc?

yeah! I can do home lesson. Just that I don't see good clients in my new environment. I'll keep searching.


As for borrowing the rent , it's almost impossible to find some one willing to lend a helping hand during this austere period.

Add home/private tutor to it.You should have been doing this by now. Charge 8 kids 5k per month and you have 40k in first month. You can charge more up to 10k if the environment is rich enough to afford it. 10k for 8 student is 80k

You can also do some works on Fiverr.com. Search Nairaland for related topics, lots of Tutorials on that.
