You also cannot use the extra battery in itself as you will still need an inverter at the very minimum. The extra battery, just as the name implies, is an extension for the system—meaning extra hour, runtime, extra load etc,. You’ll have to connect the extra battery to the Ecoflow power station via a cable to achieve this (as simple as it is). You don’t have any business with buying a new inverter or another Ecoflow system on its own.

Well, I don’t really know what this is all about, but I guess I’ll stop here. I am only advising him on what I know. And there is an ecoflow thread here on Nairaland too. You can simply do a google search on this. Or even a YouTube video search about this can answer your questions; how it charges, how to connect it etc.

The only issue here is that those extra batteries are costly. But the fact still remains that its systems are upgradeable. Except I don’t know what upgradable means.

Definitely your budget is fine as long as you don't include solar s, and likely you may not need them unless you have moved to a place where transformer packups on a regular.

So like someone recommended:

450k- haisic lithium battery 12v280ah 4kw ( really 3.7kw)
200k- 12v haisic inverter

You could save on the inverter by buying a used 12v inverter (70k) or even a sachet inverter (100k) ,but you would need to buy an external charger if you go the sachet route ( 40-80k).

As for workmanship, this is extremely basic and even a good electrician can sort you out, so you could get awy with paying him 40k (not inclusive of wires and materials).

So it can definitely work with your budget....and please don't spend too much on the inverter as you will likely graduate from a 12v system when family comes.

Good morning guys, please I need help with my MPPT controller. I can't seem to get it to charge my battery even though there is PV input.

This is 10am, I drained the battery to 12.0v overnight and by 7.30am it had already gotten to "full" level at 12.8v and started flashing (mppt mode off), I plugged about 323w of load in it because it was pulling in like 560+w at the time.

To my suprise, the inverter voltage went down to 11.9v (22% load). After 2 hours I removed the fridge to about 14% load and the voltage went to 12.1v. funny enough the mppt still maintained that the battery is full and so it refuses to charge the battery or fast. I have the Manual with me and I don't know how to go about it.

My system: 12v 200ah tubular battery, 2*300w and 1 585w .

No, you can actually use the extra battery to increase the capacity of your Ecoflow battery. For example, the Ecoflow Delta Pro has a 3.6 KWH battery. If you connect the extra battery to it which is also a 3.6 KWH battery, you'll have a total battery capacity of 7.2 KWH. And the Ecoflow is capable of automatic balancing as well.

As BigDickProblems said, it's also easy to connect an extra battery to your Ecoflow power station. All you need is a cable that plugs into the extra battery port on the power station and into the extra battery itself, and this cable is packaged with the product so you don't need to buy it separately.

Ecoflow is an amazing product, but it's overpriced. If the cost of Ecoflow was close to a custom solar installation of equivalent capacity, I wouldn't think twice before buying it. But a 3.6 KWH Ecoflow costs 2M without s, when you can get a similar battery plus inverter for less than 1M. It’s way too expensive, but it's a very popular product in the US. Some Ecoflow models can even be expanded to 40+ KWH with extra batteries. You can easily confirm this via Google, their website, or YouTube.

You actually don't need target savings for the Lithium .Just assume you want to replace the tubular and use the funds to replace with LFP.

Good tubular ranges between 280k-300k.Replacing 2 units is like 600k.That will get you an equivalent LFP. Add some change, you get higher capacity LFP.Shikena!!!If you state your budget for the battery, people will give you more than enough options.

I’ve already reported the installer because I have many police friends in the station close to me. The installer lives close to me like I said earlier. He was invited and questioned. He even came to my house last night for us to plan our next move. They advised me not to arrest him yet as it might delay the matter as he needs to be present in my move as a witness and all. I need to go to Alaba with him and arrest the PRO. One importer at Alaba that I called yesterday told me that arresting the PRO outside the market premises is best because the market forces will shield him in the market. They said if we can lure him outside the market premises entirely. And that we should use a police station that is not close to Alaba as those police guys close to Alaba are accomplices of their crimes and wont help us at all.

The importer also said that I can report him to market union…that I can get some money back but I should be sure that I might not get everything and that it might take up to 3 weeks before they pay me and they’ll be paying it in bits so as to make the money non uselful to me.

News getting to me this morning is that the PRO is already aware that we know what he did. I don’t know how he got to know.
The distributor that was telling us that if we can capture the PRO and get him to confess to what he did and he refunds, he will give us the correct battery just sent us a voice note this morning saying that he wont accept the battery again and that we should do anything we want to do. He said he wont swap…that we can only meet him on the basis of a new business and not on the battery issue again.

I don’t even know what to do right now
I’m thinking or reporting to Sako company directly but I don’t even know if they’re accomplice to this crime.
Please great men, I need your advise right now. I don’t want to take the wrong step out of anger.

Based on other people's experiences, I wouldn't recommend it. But if you are into DIY, you can always buy it. Should the BMS still behaving a certain way you don't like, you can always swap it out.

You can still buy it and update the thread. Nothing beats experiencing something yourself
