Nigerian top detective, Abba Kyari, who masterminded billionaire kidnap kingpin, Evan's arrest, alongside other resolved crimes in Nigeria, has slammed Nollywood actress, Kate Henshaw for criticizing the Nigerian Police.

Recall that before now, Kate Henshaw criticized Nigerian Police Officers for posing for photos with arrested Evans. Reacting to this, Kyari said Kate Henshaw must be out of her mind to criticize the Police.

“I have been on his trail since the past five years. He really gave us a tough time. I think he is the smartest criminal I have ever seen in my entire life.



Among all the high-profile robbers and kidnappers we have nabbed, Evans stands to be the smartest. He really gave me headache because we couldn’t track him. That guy is very smart. He never thought he could ever be arrested.”



On Kate Henshaw’s criticism of the police for celebrating and snapping pictures with Evans, he said: “Who is Kate Henshaw and what does she know? She must be out of her mind to criticize us.

I don't know of any case where the Police posed with their suspect or brought out Shayo and were drinking and shooting in the Air outside Africa . In Russia they would have covered his head with a bag and bundled him away. In America they would have cuffed him and escorted him away then the Police will hold a proper press briefing.


Kate is right. The Nigerian Police is very unprofessional and it goes all the way to the top.

They had not even debriefed him after his capture and they were letting him grant press interview. Only in Nigeria do we allow a criminal grant a press interview whilst still in police custody. Even with the way they swamped the guy, if he had managed to free himself from that handcuff and grabbed their weapon, that would have been another story.

Even the Police for yonder wey dey nab high profile terror suspects no dey pose with them. The only time you see such is maybe with the Army during War like when they nabbed Saddam.

... The media accolades on Mr Abba Kyari is becoming worrisome in the interest of his security, that of his family, loved ones and National security at large.
DSS has carried very high profile operations and till date we don't know who lead it, the faces and names of officers that went for such operations.
I was shock when Mr Abba granted interview on how he took Okada to Evan's house, to me there is no big deal in that. Did Mr Kyari want to go there in convoy blaring siren?
The drillings he had from Police College were not to punish him, but to reconfigure his body to work under any kind of weather or condition including "carrying Okada."
I expect the Spokesman of Nigerian Police to speak and state the official stance of the Force on the matter and every other officers should keep quiet. The voices of the police in media are too many for convenience and National Security.
Now that you have gone to media and gave every detail of your modus operandi in catching Evans, I pray kidnappers don't start opening fire on Okadas that ride too close to them for comfort, because they may think another Abba Kyari is closing in.
The media attention on Mr Abba Kyari is jeopardizing his safety and security, let us not deceive ourselves, Evans network is not the only high-profile kidnapping network as the Police would want us to believe... There may be other networks we are giving them clues on how to counter us.
In advance world, the Identity of officers who go after drug lords and other high-profile and organized criminals are not known. Why should that of Nigerian Police be different?
Up till date, we don't know the identities of the men of US Naval SEAL who brought down Osama bin Laden.
The media attention on Mr Kyari is becoming too much for my comfort. May God continue to guide and protect him, but we have our own human wisdom to apply too.
