To those who made University of Portharcourt their 1st choice in the concluded 2020/2021 Jamb, this thread will be very useful as latest information, ission questions will be answered, tips on Uniport ission 2020/2021 session will be shared here.

Today, 27th july 2020 the PUTME2020 portal was opened, aspirants can now start registrations.

I thank everyone that contributed to this thread in previous years.

Who told you that?....My friend with no connection and Jamb score of 274 got medicine last year!...So what are you saying

If it pains you so much then pay the 100k+ that they did

On a side note, mdcn quota for uniport is now 130, meaning about 90+ slots for utme students... That's fair enough

Well they did anyway, and unlike you who stayed at home enjoying mums good meals, they spent 6 months away from home studying their azzes off to come out tops. Not to mention top 40 from over a thousand isn't kids play.

I'm no basic student and I won't deny the fact that basic is added advantage... But I'd never hate on them just because I'm on the other side of the fence.

7,334 Medicine And Surgery applicants, only about 200 will be selected

Funny enough, do you know there are lot of lucrative courses in UNIPORT that have only five (5) Jamb applicants? Yes... You heard me... ONLY FIVE. I was so surprised to also see courses with just 3 applicants. What this means is that, if those applicants should their UTME and post Jamb, it is an automatic ission once their O level results has no issue. Whereas, some competitive courses applicants have no hope.
The good news is that, you can still change your course to a less competitive ones before its too late. That is the reason why, Jamb has given you a second chance to think and make changes to your mistakes. Do you know you can get change of course form?

Not even up to 100 Will be selected from utme applicants!...MDCN quota is 130 meaning not more than 130 student should ve itted into any level in uniport med skul!

Actually, it's just top 40, which is 31%. You should be angry towards the ELDS peeps who have about 10% share in remaining 69%, and the lecturer's relations slots which could most likely be another 10%.... So about 49% for merit(approx top 64 non basic candidates)

From a vital source, They itted just only 87 candidate from UTME last year!.....May God help us, and see us through this ission saga!

Unless you're from the ELDS or know someone who knows someone very important, you'd be wasting a good score... 260s were dumped last year, this year could be worse
