Priceless25: 6:18pm On Feb 04, 2021 |
Hi everyone, with the vaccination campaign in Australia and recent AstraZeneca data showing significant protection from COVID-19, please the international students' petition to be given a travel restriction exemption.. I've personally deferred to July but the chances of entering aussie is pretty bleak at the moment. Sign the petition people, let's give it a shot and see what happens. https://www.aph.gov.au/petition_list?id=EN2217 |
Priceless25: 6:32pm On Feb 04, 2021 |
I forgot to mention, the petition closes on Feb 10, 2021. It'll then be presented in the house of parliament. Sign the petition please.

[quote author=Nene12345 post=98694737]Hello house please I need help, what can I study in Australia with only waec result, age 21 that will lead to pr.[/qluote] That's interesting from a 21 yr old. If funds is not a problem, The answer starts with what do you want to do. But generally courses with a high PR are health sciences. Nursing, doctor etc But you can start here by taking a cert4 in disability and get into the system. From there the sky is your starting point. But if you have ion for something else, check for it on the skilled list. Haven said that the skilled list changes every year. Good luck. 1 Like |

Priceless25: Having secured your visa, is it still advisable to defer? An agent said, it is better to enrol, that if the department of Home affairs notice, they can withdraw the visa ![]() ![]() |
Priceless25: 1:19am On Feb 06, 2021 |
@Bukason2020... I'm not sure but if you've applied for your visa having obtained your COE, you can start your classes when it begins and then request for a break after first semester. I personally tried to avoid all these dilemma and deferred till July. That July too sef... can't spend millions and then study from home but then we don't really have much of a choice.

Priceless25: My dear Priceless25, I don't have millions to spend on online study too but I don't wanna lose the visa either. My point is... If it is excusable to defer without any problem, why not, I will defer |
Priceless25: 2:16pm On Feb 06, 2021 |
@Bukason2020.. IMO, because of the current border situation, I think Visa extensions are feasible. Can't speak authoritatively on this as I'm also a prospect.

Longjonjoe:1. International flights are allowed if you are a PR, citizens or have any other visa with granted travel exemption. 2. What do you want to know about employment? Employment in what sense? 3. All Australia visa subclass applications are online applications. 1 Like |

oppsonn:Even if schools exclude it for you it’s still a must you write because it’s part of the visa application requirements |
Ikjosh04: 3:08pm On Feb 14, 2021 |
Solitin40: Damn! IELTS is not compulsory for a study visa application and also important to note, it's not also compulsory for Pr visa application and assessment, in as much as the applicant for the Pr visa/assessment studied for at least 2yrs and graduated from an Australian uni. IELTS is only needed to boost Pr score for onshore applicants. So please don't raise people stress level up base on no or expired IELTS for their study visa application! Personally, I'll advise anyone that is yet to apply for ission to channel their strength towards other countries cause had it been I know, I used the bulk of my time and resources on Australia study visa to the USA study visa by reading and writing TOEFL, Sats and GRE, things would have turned out well(full/partial scholarship) and I won't have to spend my money on Australia tution fees but I applied to Australia because of the straightforward path way to earn my Pr and become a citizen. Now, all offshore Intl students are stocked in a loop due to the uncertainties and indecisiveness of the OZ government. The painful part is the Time value of money, my money Is stocked and I am becoming poorer cause I would have earn at least 80% interest/profit/dividends of that money last year with the explosive growth of btc and some other stocks. Presently, what's more painful is, I can't take calculated risk with my money that's not with Australia sch because no one knows how soon the boarder will be open. Mehn, the situation is messed up! After requesting for deferment, my annoying school sent me a new offer letter with lncrement in my full tution fee without consideration of the time value of my money. As in how will an entity or sch hold my money for more than 6 months without yielding any form of interest/equity/profit/dividends and only for them to come up with tuition fee increment with a flimsy reason backing up that increment. Omo, the frustration is real but, All is well!! and I wish I read Law cause I would have served that uni and Australia government a subpoena and we meet in court. 5 Likes |

Ikjosh04:Hahahah where did you get all these informations from ? Anyway I wish you all the best At first I wanted to back up my points but after you said “study at least 2yrs and graduated from an Australian uni” I see no point agreeing with you 1 Like |
bligs: 11:05pm On Feb 14, 2021 |
Ikjosh04:That statement is misleading, you won't even get itted in to some programs without test of English e.g Nursing and also most assessing bodies if not all require test of English for positive assessment. Studying for 2years in Australia doesn't automatically guarantee you a PR but rather give extra points for PR processing and 2 or more years of post study work visa depending on where you school, you will surely need a good test of English to boost your point for PR. |
Ikjosh04: 11:34pm On Feb 14, 2021 |
bligs: I don't know about nursing cause it's not my field and I have not looked into it but what I said apply to both EA and ACS according to their assessment booklet ed from their website.

Ikjosh04:Mate you haven’t applied for visa yet when you get your Visa without English test come back here May your too know never ends in tears |
Ikjosh04: 1:01am On Feb 15, 2021 |
Solitin40: Haba! Calm down. What's I too know about the enlightenment I'm trying to share? I've gotten my visa and I didn't use IELTS and also I shared a screenshot showing where I got my info from and you're raging at me, claiming I too know. Just smh, I'm I contesting with you or something? this thread irritates me cause when someone question or challenge an info, the person suddenly becomes I too know. Well, it's the Nigerian thing. People at the top always feel they are right and should not been given benefit of a doubt. Meanwhile, I'm a person that pays attention to details and always seeking knowledge. Don't bother quoting me cause I don't give a fvck about anything you have to say. Mtchweeeee! 1 Like |
