Therefore, in order to initiate the process of fixing the system, we need to invest heavily in the education of our people; the more educated they are, the more unlikely they are to be used as patsies and pawns by these politicians.

While I agree with you in some way, I think these kind of issues will be better addressed in the context of a restructured Nigeria.

Look people usually choose the lesser evil. Consider the Ibori's return from UK prison and the huge welcome he received. Delta people are not all foolish(though some may be) for celebrating the 'looter' Ibori.
