But JAVA/Android is trending sha. At least for the past one year like 80% of my income as a developer have been coming from JAVA/Android.

Who killed php? And who says stats can't lie. Let's all use what works best for us instead of attending programming languages burial. I can tell you confidently that in Nigeria....majority of programmers at a time started with php. |

Personally it's not about PHP being dead, but which PHP Profitable projects are they ? there are some open source projects written in PHP that will still fetch cash like them Laravel and Symfony. It now depends on the platform, I will make much money selling WordPress themes and maintaining it than doing freelance.
