To a large extent, I agree with you but on online branding, I don't think there is any such thing as marketing method. Branding is branding and their is no such thing as online branding marketing. Meanwhile, inside online marketing methods branding is very important to stand out and stay relevant. But what you emphasize under online branding will rather go under website marketing and its sublets. Take note that there is branding inside all the online marketing methods.

For starters the title is wrong. Everything goes out of fashion. grin grin The fact that there existed marketing on only a physical platform a few years back, the advent of digital marketing and the new of DIGICAL marketing, fusion of the traditional and the new shows that technology eventually has a bearing on our lifestyles and eventually how value choices are made.

Having read quite a few of the comments we must note that there's a difference between push communication ( text messages from companies, banners on websites, emails and posts on social media) and self selected content (product or service reviews, recommendations from s and direct interactions with s). The later is where we must take our digical marketing to. It is also important to know where your customers are so you use the right platform and not go shouting where your irers are not based.

Whatsoever you do as you develop content ensure you position yourself or brand as a thought leader in that business. Ensure also that your message or content is creating and delivering value not just a babbling of how you do what you do. The question on the mind of your audience is.... What value am I getting out of all this.

Finally, that as you create awareness, build relationships that will help you generate leads for future business opportunities.

I agree with all except SEO. SEO is dying because search engines are updating their algorithms to suite relevant content (This is an aspect that they spend tons of money on) as opposed to keywords. Now, you don't need to be a SEO guru for your website to rank higher. Just provide relevant and unique content.

I think we need to first of all understand the meaning of SEO. Seems you are beginning to mix the whole thing up. Your content should be structured but it doesn't guarantee top search results - why? Because search engine sites of nowadays focus on content relevance before any other thing. (Please check out Google Panda - Their most recent algorithm in 2011).
You said there is SEO in social media, email marketing? Really? What is SEO? Search Engine Optimization! How can you possibly have SEO in E-mail? Or are they search engine sites too? You confuse me sir.

Also to buttress my explanation, you are webclick.com.ng. If you are really strong in SEO like you claim, how come your website never comes up top on search engines when digital marketing companies are searched for? Why? Google doesn't consider your site to be relevant to an average Nigerian online searching for Digital Marketing agencies.
Please don't mix up your understanding of SEO with content Analysis and marketing. SEO is organic search engine results.

1. How long did it take you to rank these sites as top in google?
2. Can climaxbox come up in top google search results. You know, it'll be nice to practise what you preach.

I started my career in digital since 2010. And I started with SEO. I dropped a site in ranking to top 500 in Nigeria - without 1 naira spent. Those were the glory days. But now, SEO has evolved (Maybe not died). Keywords will only get you as far. Even Wikipedia has suffered heavy loss in traffic and organic results recently. Don't get me wrong, I offer SEO services too, but saying that these are evergreen digital marketing tips is what I don't agree with. Some sites who don't have the slightest clue about SEO are ranked top organically on Google. Coincidence? Nah!
