Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has advocated a strong party in power and a strong opposition party, if Nigeria’s democracy must be strong, dynamic and cherished. https://www.channelstv.com/2016/09/03/obasanjo-advocates-need-for-strong-party-in-power-and-opposition/ 3 Likes 1 Share |

The soul was taken away when non-party men and undemocratic elements like Obasanjo were allowed to hold , direct and snuff the life out of the party.

Obasanjo was right; a democracy needs strong opposition to thrive. However, he should have advised Sheriff to stop asphyxiating the party. He is the chief reason why the party is in disarray and can't provide the much needed opposition to the ruling party.

A leader should always be open to criticism, not silencing dissent. Any leader who does not tolerate criticism from the public is afraid of their dirty hands to be revealed under heavy light. And such a leader is dangerous, because they only feel secure in the darkness. Only a leader who is free from corruption welcomes scrutiny; for scrutiny allows a good leader to be an even greater leader. Suzy Kassem 10 Likes 2 Shares |

This is to tell us that Sheriff is not struggling to be chairman for the good of the party he wants to further drive the party into its waterloo. How can he go to OBJ to discuss about the party he OBJ dropped because his importance in the party was taken to the bearest minimum. I wwonder the kind of advice obj wouuld give him. From Obj's response we all know what the advice would look like. In my opinion Sheriff should leave the PDP alone because it is obvious he is working for some group of people. Let him go so that the PDP will form a better and stronger opposition. 26 Likes 4 Shares |
