Okwaya? Very clueless. Thats how he and his scam group initiated a waste management company in Imo state and called it "Nikachi Nigeria limited ", recruited hundreds of youths (if not more than a thousand), over Labored them for almost a year only to refuse paying them for almost fove months. Some didn't even see one naira till they demostrated and dissolved the company. They later paid some of the most aggressive ones and left others unpaid. The man is good at using and discarding people. Heard of one chief Nnanyelugo Ogbuefi Ejimkonye (Late) popularly known with his bread business as Ejimkonye buttered bread.. a strong er of this man and even worked during his campaign.. abandoned him even before he died. Nothing lasts forever. Okorocha enjoy it while it lasts. 10 Likes |

NOC1: The MINISTRY OF WORKS has been in comatose since he came in. He awards, supervises and then signs off on the cheque. If it was OK now he alone would have taken the glory but you see, you don't use good speeches and propaganda to build roads. No hired crowd can defend this. Considering the too many landmark modern development infrastructures Gov. Okorocha had placed in Owerri, perhaps he may have to go and steal the federal allocations of other states to do better jobs or put more infrastructure in Owerri in order to satisfy the Imo one city people in Owerri. We are looking at two cities in one in Owerri. Can these Owerri people now crying foul about Okorocha point to any landmark development infrastructure Okorocha placed in Orlu or Okigwe? Issue is that some people in Imo state have taken it for granted that Imo state does not extend beyond Owerri. So even if other towns outside Owerri are being drowned out by flooding and worse roads, they take to the media showing patches of bad roads in Owerri as Okorocha failure. 1 Like |

Questions: 1; were there no body to advice the governor then that the place was not fit for a tunnel? 2; were Owerri people not clapping and celebrating when the tunnel started to be built for a road crossing where traffic lights or police warden could have very well manned the junction? Just like Owerri people believed that flyover is a sign of urbanization, hence they literally forced flyovers to be built where roundabouts, traffic lights could have served to control traffic. A long established phenomenon: Spending Imo state allocations on building and demolishing and reconstruction in Owerri. This has been done at the expense of any meaningful modern development infrastructure in Orlu and Okigwe and other lgas. And the Owerris have been loving the phenomenon. 4 Likes |

You cant feel sorry for the citizens of this State. Its pathetic how so many agencies and groups failed in such a basic task of building a road. The civil engineers failed, contractors, State road commission who vets projects, State senate, Governor. Nobody going to resign or get fired over this failure. The group awarded should be fined and forced to return money. The citizens wont call for reduction in governors powers. This State seems hopeless. How was this approved? Who's going to get fired? Who's going to fix this? 5 Likes |

Dear friends, the tunnel under discussion is still under construction. It was opened to ease traffic. It is work in progress. The state governor ordered its opening to reduce the traffic congestion and consequent inconvenience Imolites suffered while it was closed. Let's bear this in mind while making our opinion. Your opinions are that of concerned people that wish the government well. Thank you. Ik Ogbonna, SA ICT 1 Like |
