It's actually right for people to be religious but being religious is not being a Christian. Religion is a way of life and therefore; a culture. so someone can be very religious yet not a Christian as we seen in Modern christian lives today.

A lot want to be told what they want to hear and not what is supposed to be heard, that's why we have failed to incorporate the actual truth of life but rather we chose what our so called man of God tells us.

I a pastor ones asked me my name and I told her, and she said I should change it cos it's not a christian name.
How on earth dose my name affect who I am?

Is salvation meant only for the Jews? Or are there no moses who re criminal? Or Saul who re saint?
You go look for help somewhere or employment, first thing you are asked, what's your religion? If you say muslin or christian, it's the end of the road. but down south here, when you say you are a Christian, next question is what's your denomination? Do you pay your tithe?
If you venture say no, you are doomed.

I listen to the pastor Adeboye's annual address to his flock and 90% was centred on material things, paying your tithes, vows, marriage and what have you.

Nothing actually was about being steadfast in faith in this trying times.

The owner of my company is a redeem member and we dedicate 3 man hours to heavy compulsory prayer and worship every Thursday, yet someone can work for 3 years no promotion even though you have met the 6 months requirements, if you petition you are dropped and someone will replace you before you walk out the door.

Yet salaries are owed for 3-4 months and no apologies or any form of sobriety being ed to employees.

I have come to my own conclusion that the only true Christians are those who can renounce themselves, a take up their cross and follow Jesus. By renouncing your self I mean rou have to be able to overcome you character and be a new creature in Christ.

You will see a pastor or his wife behaving normal showing that they re still yet to be a new creation. Am not asking anyone to pretend but live rightfully.

People should go and study the scripture for the sake of heaven and getting things right not what you hear your preacher tell you because they all know what you actually want to hear these days and they are giving it to you.

am not against paying of tithes, i pay my tithes too.

my problem is why preach only financial prosperity?

what about salvation of the soul?

what about Hell fire?

they only preach what the congregation wants to hear so that they can sow more seeds.


my own is, it shouldnt be about money everytime

Pay your tithes, but a G.O should not come out in an annual convention and spell out church rules and 90% of the rule being predicated on material things.

The only two people I know in the bible are the widow and eliajah, then Jesus and the samarithan woman and they helped the prophets on request and not paying their tithes.
