Comments: I like to believe that we must talk and reach for common understandings, precisely because we are all imperfect and can never act with certainty that God is on our side, and yet at times we must act nevertheless, as if we are certain, protected from error only by providence. I am sure he forgot this statement when he chose to slap rather than talk to the security man(Sergent at Arms) |

kokoA: Some of the most ignorant and stupid people I have come across are "well educated". We pay too much respect in Nigeria to people who have all these letters after their names. |
KnowAll(m): 2:07pm On Sep 11, 2009 |
If that man ever comes to London, I will personally give him a dirty slap, Nairalanders please keep me posted as to when he is planning to come and where he would be staying. The stupid senator would have being in Jail if he were to repeat what he did in Nigeria in the UK. He would have being done for ABH- Actual Bodily Harm or GBH - Grevious Bodily Harm with a penalty of 6 months in Jail or 200 hours community service. There is no law in Naija hence why the poor and powerless gets trampled upon. |

The man need to be brought to book by mass condemnation of his action. Any Human Rights Lawyer should fight for the helpless security man. The Press should condemn it in the papers we should not allow lawlessness to thrive in Nigeria, else our children will become slaves in their father's land. I doesn't cost anything to these to the International Community. (Just send it by a few keyboard strokes and a click of mouse) The man must be removed from the seat and banned from public office. |

Mbeki: He is Married and yet slapping another man's wife? He is a Lawyer and yet, he is breaking the law by being a nuisance? Na wa oh |

Mbeki: 7:41pm On Sep 11, 2009 |
s the motion to move this to the frontpage. The Man needs to feel the brunt of his shameless action, else, others like him will be warming up to do the worse. If these man were to be a president, Nobody will ply the same road with him. PLEASE , TAKE HIS PICTURE TO THE FRONTPAGE LET THE WHOLE WORLD JUDGE HIM! |
udezue(m): 7:54pm On Sep 11, 2009 |

|
Fhemmmy: 8:02pm On Sep 11, 2009 |
udezue: What will that achieve. I think we all need to advice the security dude to sue him, and we will all be behind the guy till he win |
biina: 8:14pm On Sep 11, 2009 |
Fhemmmy:Will you be paying the legal fees? ![]() Justice delayed is justice denied. He should first be tried (and found guilty) in the court of public opinion. |
Mbeki: 8:28pm On Sep 11, 2009 |
udezue: IT WILL ACHIEVE A LOT. LET HIS CONSTITUENCY KNOW THE KIND OF MAN HE IS. WE NEED TO CHANGE OUR MINDSET IN THIS COUNTRY. WE ARE LIVING IN AN ERA WHERE HUMAN RIGHTS IS PARAMOUNT FOR PEACEFUL COEXISTENCE. GONE ARE SLAVE TRADE ERA. NOBODY SHOULD BE TREATED ABOVE THE LAW. NUJ, NBA LEGAL AID COUNCIL HUMAN RIGHTS COMMISSION HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES COMMITTEE ON HUMAN RIGHTS HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES COMMITTEE ON PUBLIC PETITIONS ALL SHOULD RISE UP AND DEFEND THE GUY. , IF WE LET HIM GO SCOT FREE. YOU COULD BE THE VICTIM TOMORROW I GUESS THIS FORUM IS NOT FOR FUN ONLY, IS FOR RE-BRANDING NIGERIA ALSO |
Fhemmmy: 8:30pm On Sep 11, 2009 |
biina: Court of public opinion doesnt matter in Nija. IF the man is willing to sue, there are activist lawyer in Nija that will be willing to take up his case. Mbeki: This will achieve nothing, cos the people in his constituency probably never voted for him, and they might not even read papers, else, they would have know about it, and not the face of nairaland will make them to be aware that a thug is representing them. |

I'm 100% in of "MOVE IT TO THE FRONT" Enough is enough! If that Uzoma girls case could gain some intervention through public efforts and clever use of technology, this can. It's high time that these half-baked politicians are held able for their actions, and they should start to understand that Nigerians will not take any of their rubblish lying, theivery and misconduct anymore! We have more human comion and common sense than them, and we will fight for the rights of the people at the grassroots of the community. They need to stop treating people like s*it just because they are blo*dy politicians! |
biina: 9:49pm On Sep 11, 2009 |
Fhemmmy:Please name one activist lawyer that you have confirmed has stated his willingness to take up the case or are you simply expecting them to do so? ![]() again with the narrow minded speculations. Since you dont know it for a fact, you should resist belittling others just to justify your position. |
Mbeki: 10:31pm On Sep 11, 2009 |
ogogoro:TELL THEM BROS SEE, FOWL TALK SAY WHY HIM DEY SHOUT NO BE SAY MAKE D THING WEY HOLD AM LEAVE AM, BUT MAKE THE WHOLE WORLD KNOW SAY HIM CRY OUT FOR HELP! @phemmy we are saying the same thing. the only way to the security dude is to blow the issue open to the whole wide world. just few key strokes and mouse click. post it on any forum you see. We envy the level of human rights in developed countries. Do you think they arrived there by accident?? Something like this might have happened in the past and the action taken then is what their present generation is enjoying. LET'S PREPARE A BETTER TOMORROW FOR OUR KIDS. it begins with you and me, it along joo! |

LEST I FORGET, I SENT THE MAIL BELOW TO THE SPEAKER HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES. HERE IS HIS E-MAIL: , AND LINK TO HIS WEBPAGE.http://www.nassnig.org/house/member.php?member=2&page=6 Your Honourable Sir, I want to congratulate you on the marvelous work you are doing in leading of the House of Representatives. I however wants to draw your attention to what transpired between Hon Chinyere Emmanuel Igwe and a National Assembly Security man on 10/09/2009 at about 11:00 am. I am not going to repeat the whole episode again as I am sure the news must have reached you as at the time of sending this e-mail. For a lawmaker to slap someone whose duties is to protect him(lawmaker) is a condemnable act that is unacceptable by Nigerians. Just Imagine that the Security man allows a terrorist access to the white House, I don't think it will be a sweet experience(or do you think terrorism is only limited to middle east and America?. The lawmaker in question was not dressed properly like an Honorable member, why did he think he should be seen as one? (THE WAY YOU DRESS IS THE WAY YOU WILL BE ADDRESSED) If the Security man asked him to identify himself. he should have just smiled and say "my friend if you don't know me, I am Honorable so-so-so" finished! To this point your Honorable sir, I demand that Hon.Chinyere Emmanuel Igwe should be punished for tarnishing the Image of the House of Representatives of the Federal Republic of Nigeria,by portraying them as leaders who don't respect their follower. I trust the wise and bold manners you with which tackle issues; as am sure necessary discipline action will be taken against Hon.Chinyere Emmanuel Igwe. We shall be posting his heinous attitude on all forum on the internet for the whole world to see. We are no longer living in a slavery era.LET US REBRAND NIGIGERIA I rest my case. Thank you sir! |

With all the learned status which any one who reads his bioata would hold, his behaviour is still not better than that of an agbero in the motor park. How can things work in Nigeria with this kind of "well educated man"?. ![]() ![]() |
