the Fg of Nigeria should forget about Niger Delta oil tht has beeen set out to be used to fund their 2016.
ppl shouldn't be worried about the Niger delta ppl but how & where the govt is going to generate money from to fund their planned budget coz its obviously clear to all tht the Niger delta has been the region funding the 5 other region tht make up the country. Since the bombing started we all can observe tht most state can no longer cope & very soon federal civil service workers might begin to cry like their state counterpart.
The Federal govt should start thinking of an alternative on how to fund their North East Developement
Commisssion & how to diversify their economy coz its gudbye to Niger delta oyel.
i want to say a big thank you to all those tht voted APC & am so happy tht the country will no longer rely on oil anymore so tht we can begin to explore other means of generating revenue to run the country.
so judging from your write up APC is your problem. Pele o

There are no militant camps within the city of port harcourt and possibly not many critical surface pipelines coursing the city ( except that going to bonny) So for people like Quotasystem who are expecting some sort of war, if there will ever be one, it can not be from within the city. All these goes to reveal the people who know nothing about the Niger Delta and just type nonsense from their bedrooms in a faraway land.

The airforce jet to me is a single jet on reconnaissance, I even took two videos from Thursday and Friday.

The obsolete NAF helicopters are still hovering over my neighborhood. They seem they'll drop off the sky anytime, this has caused some kind of uneasiness.

Nigeria cannot get better birds for its Airforce, Nigeria is really a failed state.

That the first one failed doesn't mean this would fail. Even if it fails, at least they've created an awareness to the injustice being meted against the Niger Deltans. which approach would you they rather take? the Federal government are corrupt so also the Niger Delta leaders. the fight is not for leaders but it's for the average Niger Deltans

The awareness has always been there and I'm sure you'll be honest enough to it it. The issue has been the methodology.

I'm not asking the avengers to stop the campaign of destruction but you and I know that it'll end up the same way that of tompolo and asari ended and that is creation of more billionaires, cult leaders etc in the region.

What are your representatives at the NASS doing? Are they also ready to suffer deprivations with you? Don't you think more noise and effect will be achieved if Ben Bruce and his colleagues reject their salaries, cars and allowances to show disdain for the fiscal structure of the country?

By saying 'the innocent', are you referring to those who and cheer the militants in terrorism, or those who hide them and deliberately refuse to fish them out from their communities?

The consequences of ing terror will be felt by its ers, no question about it. Ask Borno, nobody reminded them to quickly form a Civilian JTF.

Nairaland should not allow this type of nauseating person to comment.

Rejecting their salaries is plain stupidity. btw, you don't expect the elite to fight this kind of war. Politicians only fight wars that favor them directly and don't give a damn about the people they represent. The best approach to this would have been dialogue but the government are not ready for dialogue. they're only interested in bribing the militants and postpone the evil day without addressing the injustice they're fighting. And this present set of militants made it known they're not accepting bribes. I don't know who their sponsor is and I don't know what their sponsors really want but whatever it is they are fighting for, it's good to the Niger Deltans. The awareness hasn't been there. People just there's a region called Niger Delta that is sustaining the nation and people know they're suffering without doing anything about it. that's not the awareness I'm talking about. have you ever been to an Ijaw community before. Have you ever been in a village where you need millions of Naira before you can lay a foundation? have you ever been in a village where pure water, biscuits, coke, medicine would finish in the whole community at once and there would be no where close by to get it? do you know the pains the ijaws through everyday? and the compensation given to them by God you come and take it away in the name of unity without sharing in their pains. it's injustice. There's no other approach to get to the government apart from force. that's the only language they understand. The day people start killing Fulani herdsmen is the day you hear from buhari about their issues. he's been quiet because people have been tolerating their excesses. I bet you the day Niger Delta Avengers drop their guns is the day this government sweet their case under the carpet.

I understand your idealism and I wish things work better. The poor almajiri on the street of kano is no better than the wretched fisherman in ogbainbiri or the hungry teacher in osun. They're all being 4ked by the crooks from all over the country including the militants in the Niger Delta.

I've been lucky to serve in ijaw land and work in ndokwa land all in the Niger Delta and I see the wickedness of brothers to brothers.

An example will suffice here. Go to Kwale and try to cross to beneku. There's no bridge and if you're unlucky to go on a day that the ferry provided by agip breaks down, you'll have to do a 30minute journey through ashaka for a normally less than 45seconds crossing. I was there when agip wanted to build the bridge but the community refused egged on by these same useless community leaders and their youths. Whereas these leaders simply wanted agip to continue paying for the ferry instead of settling the problems with a bridge once and for all.

I wish them luck in their quest. I wish for us to go back to regional control if break up is too much to ask. Let each region control its destiny. I just don't trust the intentions of these avengers but who knows? I've been wrong before.

I'm a Niger Deltan but I'm not ijaw but truth be told, they're the most affected by environment. Carrying out any project in Ijaw land costs almost 4x it's normal amount and people come here to ask about 13% derivative. What's 13 derivative in carrying out projects in this riverine communities?

Best comment for today'

I have their names, they cheer militants , they hope militants bring the economy down , they boast about how terrorists have drowned 30 soldiers as opposed to the 3 reported by the media

but when it comes to news about soldiers raiding hometowns, they cry wolf , call on amnesty international, call on ICC and blame Buhari

If this news about aerial bombardment is true , It'll give me so much satisfaction

There's no clean war , there's anyways collateral damage , any innocent living in the vicinity , and still remains there is no longer innocent , as long , Niger Delta Avengers, MASSOB,IPOB,MEND are not ghosts , they are people they live with and see day in day out
The people you just reported me to should first deal with you

What is the difference between a terrorist and a militant?
These two words are often used interchangeably whereas it is usually considered as wrong to do so. However, a militant and a terrorist both have their own agendas and mostly, these agendas are political. The difference however lies in the means with which they hope to achieve their desired goal.

Terrorists are thus named because of the fact that they utilize fear for attaining their desired goal. The way in which they instill fear in people or the state is by using armed violence, destructing public property, destroying and killing innocent people and thereby posing as a threat to human lives and the overall wellbeing of a country or a nation. Terrorists often choose civilians as their targets, thus drawing the attention of the authorities towards themselves while they also target government organizations for their attacks. Militants however, do not use physical violence. They are usually seen to be using verbal violence, taking extreme action to achieve a desired goal. Militants do not target civilians as terrorists do and they have no desire of instilling fear in people and gaining their objective through fear. Militants usually rebel against the state and the authorities with the aim of gaining liberation or independence.

However, it is a commonly known fact that a militant will resolve to terrorism if he or she cannot gain his or her objectives through peaceful means. There is proof that most terrorists initiated their operations as militants, gradually making their way in to becoming fully fledged terrorists. It is said that most militants all over the world terrorist groups with the aim of gaining their in fulfilling their respective ambitions. Terrorism is regarded as an offence all over the world and is also looked down upon with much disdain.

And what's your argument ? me being unfair for beating you hands down ?? I highlighted What i needed you to read , but i guess it's too much too complex for you to understand and i understand that

There was a time Boko Haram were militants , and some news outlets call them militants up till today , and i emphasized that Bombing pipelines , hurting a country's economy and damaging your ecosystem is also act of terrorism , in saner climes, when a tanker spills it's content into the sea , the company drilling crude not only cleans it up , they are also fined because of the soil , marine life e.t.c. that'll be put in danger

But you wouldn't know that would you ?? Go read a book or something
