Even though I don't buy the idea of this factory being managed by foreigners, it's still better than its not functioning at all (like it was for more than 15 years). Hopefully, other dead cocoa factories can be revived and new ones spring up.

Good point raised. We produce thousands of engineers every year, with little or no innovation from them to better Nigerians' lives.
The very few ones that have something to offer, they hardly get financier.

Ekiti's soil is also very good for tuber cultivation, especially yam.

If fayose don't do something bout promotion nd commercialisation of agriculture of agriculture in ekiti,I would never vote any for any governor there again, ekiti are inteligent people but they av been unfourtunate with leaders.that stae can match middle belt agricultural production if givin opportunity

Let me tell you the truth, Ekiti are educated people with big paper qualifications and that is it. We are yet to acquire the mentality of maintaining and developing systems or processes without supervision. The abilty is there but thw discipline and maturity is absent. That is why till today, our big local companies are awash with Indians not because they are technically better. I would give NNPC to foreigners to handle if I were president

Yoruba States known for cocoa cultivation. Made most of the first generation millionaires.

Thank you. We have technical know-how, but no equipment, power, and enabling policies by the govt.
