ohiza: Don't mind them. This is tantamount to a fine and it was paid to the Federal Government with CBN. Saving the country of legal costs yet these people will still complain. 1 Like |

abu99err:smart guy yourself. Let me start with are nigerians going to be poisoned with these toxins? The answer is no, this is because we don't know that.for us to say yes, we should be able to know how this material was brought and if people were exposed to this material then the type of material and its effect on human/animal or environmental exposure.Did nigeria benefit ftom the money, yes it was paid into the federation .in 1988, toxic waste was brought to nigeria from Italy, and taken to a town in delta state called koko, how was that matter settled? Was compensation not paid? Was ghe waste not returned back to italy? I repeat not every case must be prosecuted |

charliboy654:did they use the 6m dollars for development and did they share the 6m dollars among themselves, which you said yes to, my response is, we don't know that.what is confirmed is that the money was paid into the federation . It is not in dispute that toxic substance could cause harm to people and the environment.and in this case there is no evidence to show that people were exposed or the environment was polluted with this substance. Did the federal government make a good deal, yes.was the money paid into the federation , yes |
