Iata certification is the recognised international professional certification in the travel industry, with its head quater in canada.though i ve not worked in the industry b4,i hope to be there soon.the certification is in three stages.the first which is the foundation diploma is for entry level in to the industry.an un comfirmed source says this can give u an average salary of 100k per month in an airline.registration is on for the september diet and it cost about 120k for everything including lectures and exams. There are training centres all over Lagos, but the very good once are Frontier Travel Academy and the Land over travel school.i am under going traning with frontier academy and it ok for me. ![]() |

They are only recruiting Pilot, Profiler and Flight Deck. you can confirm and tell the house wat site u saw the recruitment exercise. I was a student of Frontier Travel Academy too. |

chi9ja:NOPE. You dont need to take IATA exams b4 u can operate a travel agency. To open a travel agency you need to an association of travel agencies in ur country(where u wish to operate) and also be financially stable. If you are approved by ur local travel agency association then u wud write IATA and if they too approve u,u wud be given a unique travel agency code, license and u start operation. The main problem however is getting approved by the local travel agency association. |
chi9ja(f): 11:58am On May 22, 2010 |
ifyalways: soooooooo which agency is dat in nigeria, and wat do u need to have to be approved. |
bigleap: 12:53pm On May 22, 2010 |
@chi9ja - its not an easy process & as of the current industry trend you must have a NGN 30 M Share capital to start & many other formalities |
