I hear Dora Akinyuli on Tv this eveing trying to promote the Green Eagles and using that opportunity to do her soundbite on rebranding and repackaging.

I do not doubt her sincererity but she is trying to prop up a failed government of the PDP.

She said,  NIGERIA, GOOD PEOPLE, GREAT NATION and  I  add  TERRIBLE GOVERNMENT

It is  case of FAILED LEADERSHIP, you cannot get a good follwership. the saying 'IF YOU PUT A LIPSTICK ON A PIG, IT'S STILL A PIG', you can only repackage and rebrand a good products. NIGERIAN GOVERNMENT AND  OUR LEADERSHIP AS IT STAND ARE HORRIBLE PRODUCT.  In the word of Dr. Nnamdi Azikwe ' broken bottles has no mekpantarism'

What do you guys think?   I think the slogan, Nigeria, Good people, Great nation, Terrible Government is about Right.

If you want to rebrand, you start to tell the people some truth , and stop corruption with our leaders in government including I dare say our President.

I hope someone can forward this amended slogan to Dora Akinyuli, the government of Nigeria and our political class.

I watch AIT - FOCUS ON NIGERIA with 3 brilliant people yesterday- Farouk Adamu Aliyu, Dr. Sam Amadi and Darlington Nwauju(with those kind of people there is hope in Nigeria) they are brutally honest with Nigerians especially Farouk Adamu Aliyu on the connivince of the political class who are not challenging this dubious and utter RUBBISH OF A DO NOTHING PARTY OF PDP in power for 10 years and COMPLETELY HOPELESS

Prof. Akinyuli is playing this game by putting a new wine in an old wine skin, we know what you are going to get- FAILURE.( iam sorry to say, the journey is being started from the wrong track)

Take another example why all this rebranding is bound to fail- Yar A'liar just used Justice UWAIS as opportunity to consolidate his government at the begining, he has no good intention of true and proper electoral reform so that Nigerians can have a fair, free election to elect their own govt. He is cherry picking and leaving behing the main points of the reports that will allow for free and transparent election in NIgeria.

He, President Yar A'Dull lied again about  7 NO POINT AGENDA, he is now blaming World economic recession for his NON STARTER AGENDA. He has not done anything even before the world economic problem. HE IS VISIONLESS. ALL IS DIVERSION FOR 2011 ELECTION.

Now with all that  poverty  & deception party (PDP) of Yar A'dull and OBJ, how can you persuade ordinary folks to just  change, rebrand and follow you and change their ways when the leadership are lieing and living in denial.

FOOLISH  people who thinks they are smart are  DOUBLE FOOLS.

I am not sure how you come about your view above. My thinking is that even when the people are terrible, then the leadership as in government should lead them right. That is why they are the 'LEADERS' . The best example will be a father to his children, the children don't usually become terrible if the father has lead them right.

Nigerian government, I will respectfully diasgree with you are NOT A GOOD GOVERNMENT by any or measure. Infact, the word terrible is an understatement for lack of better word. If I say they are evil, that may not be too far from it.

Yes the people themselves have not been too good but they needed to be lead by a visionary leader. maybe you are able to educate me why you think Nigerian people are terrible and the government is good, maybe Nigerians can learn a new thing.

I respect Dora a & love her for her acheivemt at NAFDAC but i dont really like ds rebranding nigeria thingy.

I guess we all know d importance of branding and advertising but i think branding a bad product is tantamount to deciet (self deciet in nigeria's case). Nigeria is a country wit vast potentials (a great nation) but prioir to branding and image laundering we shd focus on d pertinent issues. The govt shd spend money on infrastructure (electricity, good roads, transport, etc) & let d good work they've done speak for themselves.

dy cn take a cue frm wat gov. fash is doing in lagos & replicate it!

PS: Nigerians r generally good pple a lot of ills in our society is caused by frustration

Nigeria should have first done good reformation before rebranding.

Please alow me to contribute my 10cents to this offering,

FIRST OF ALL THAT BITCH DORA AKUNYILI IS A CARD CARRYING MEMBER OF THE MONSTER CALLED PDP. SHE IS NO DIFFERENT FROM THE LOT. SHE'S JUST A MERCINARY FOR HIRE SHE WAS NEVER SINCERE. HER ACHEIVEMENTS AT NAFADAC WERE THE PRODUCT OF FIRST CLASS OPPRTUNISIM AND EYE SERVICE.

SECONDLY THE FACT THAT OBAMA IS SNUBBING NIJA AND VISITING GHANA THE FIRST AFRICAN COUNTRY SINCE HIS INNUAGURATION IS A STATEMENT. NIJA IS IRRELEVANT IN THE GLOBAL SCHEME OF THINGS.(NO THANKS TO THE VISIONLESS LEADERSHIP OBJ AND YARADULL HAVE PROVIDED)

IT ALSO LETS THAT BITCH DORA KNOW WHAT THE INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY THINKS OF HER REBRANDING EFFORT.

NOW THEY WANT TO REMOVE OIL SUBSIDY SO THEY CAN HAVE ENOUGH MONEY TO SATISFY THEIR GREED AND CONDEM MILLIONS TO EVEN GREATER POVERTY (it's amazing how much the average nigerian can take)

IN SUMMARY THE RULING CLASS ARE NOT INTERSTED IN A BETTER NIJA, THE STATUS QUO SUITS THEM JUST FINE.
