No one's glorifying past armed robbers / bandits.

It doesn't mean one can't talk about them though. Are you saying all conversation should be about the positives in life? There's such a thing called "freedom of expression." Just thought you might have forgotten. Even Myra Hindley is still talked about to this day, and she was a child murderer. Jack the Ripper was a serial killer, and his name's still mentioned today.
