I now ed there was no light when thunder strucked, it was On ups mode ...I guess if I connect the avs to the mains, then the ups to it and there's no light to power the avs, it's still useless, the lightning will strike the ups again and if I connect the avs to the ups to supply to appliances which I believe the ups has the ability to protect appliances, what's the use?

I don't remove wires, all connection from charge controller,smart charge and ups has clip just like that smart charger +&- alligator clip,
I just had attachall to the pattery so it's easier for me to unclip them all if I need to use them elsewhere,

Brotherman, it's best you have an adequate surge protection in place, get some DC SPDs and connect it to the earth of the building, that saves you from any guess work.

I'll post pictures of low cost but effective SPD that one can connect without any technical skills. But pls let's protect our little investment. Naija no dey smile

The maximum capacity of solar s the inverter can utilize is 1440W. That is about 5 300W s. You can also buy more but you can't draw more than 1440W from it.

The more important part to watch out for is the VOC. At 45V, that means you can only connect the solar s in parallel if you are buying 300W capacity and above solar s.

I think the charge controller is a PWM. You are probably better off buying an MPPT charge controller for the s.
