Hey,

I am actually responding to something you said in another thread on Caroline Chikezie, from footballers wives. I as another sister American born Nigerian totally agree with you. I think she is also stunning, and I believe we as Nigerians as Africans, we never want to promote our own. We are always looking for others, I also do like beyonce, but it always gives me so much joy to see ONE OF OUR OWN! out there doing there thing, she is quite talented and beautiful, she is a beautiful black woman, you don't have to be mixed with everything in the sun to be beautiful she is an example of that. One of the guys made a comment that she could not touch Beyonce, well in regards to her career, beyonce started at what eight years old so yes her career is quite extensive, Miss Chikeze started much later, it takes time to get to the top.

Also in regards to acting Beyonce CAN NOT ACT, i do like her music but her talents stop there. Miss Chikeze is a far better serious actress, and I believe she has  a promising future. Beauty wise Beyonce of course is very attractive but also very fake. There is a place called Tendrils in Brooklyn, used to be in Brooklyn one of the hairs stylist and I were good friends she actually did her hair when she did that Austin power movie, with that big fake Afro. My girlfriend said when they went into the hotel to do her hair they could not believe she had two inches of hair!!! and she looked soo different, makeup and hair does a lot for people. Again I am not putting her down I do like her music but I know that she also has a lot done.

And that guy who commented on her muscles is silly. She has a great body and she is toned. There is nothing so dramatically mmuscularon her, and I am sure if he could get her he would try like most men.

Miss Chikeze is also raising international awareness of the Nigerian film stars for London awards ceremony by bringing interesting bBritishfilm makers and stars to this event. Not bad for a bBritishborn Nigerian at least she is involved, and is active in the Nigerian scene. What we Africans seem to forgot is that African aAmericansdon't share that love of home as we do. Beyonce's knowledge of Africa may be Darfur region in Sudan. And I don't mean that to be negative but the reality is, they just don't care and I can't blame them their connection was cut off a long time ago. So while it is good to enjoy all stars we need to focus some of our energy on promoting and acknowledging our very own stars.

Odeku, men say anything & everything to dismiss women when they have valid points. You've just shown that you are such a man. But it is to my benefit as I will no longer take the time to read or respond to your rubbish again.

ODEKU: That was a terrible comment to make to a lady.
You continue to confirm my conclusion regarding your background (uncivilized and a bus conductor state of mind)

Your welcome,

And don't mind that guy, he needs to ask himself what he's doing with his life. No one hated on anyone, if he read the thread correctly it was not about that, I specifically said that I also was a fan  of Miss B and respect any woman that can successfully make it in this industry." So what is he talking about. Why does it have to be about hate? The funny thing is when I first read your thread, my take on your title "We have our own Beyonce", was not that you were comparing her to Beyonce, but as for Naija we have our own star. That is all simple, how this guy is taking it to a serious comparison is wrong.

All I focused on is your own when u see a fellow Nigerian brother or sister.  It is soooo easy to be overseas born and raised and deny any Nigerian heritage as we all know so many of us do it. I just thought it was nice to have one of our own who was successful and also still acknowleding Nigeria in a big way. That is a great and positive thing and I don't understand why some one can't see the beauty in that.

The real issue behind this is bigger than Caroline or Miss B, it is , and how we see ourselves and deal with each other, in a world that does not truly accept or really acknowledge Africa. We as Nigerians and overall Africans have a lot of self hatred,  because we hardly see any good in our people, this my sister is tragic .
