The crises rocking the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) is taking another dimension as 21 of its disgruntled Senators are threatening to leave the party to the People Democratic Party (PDP). The Senators elected under APC platform gave the defection warning to the National Working Committee of APC to defect to the PDP as result of their claimed high-handedness, interference, Impositions and constant threats from the party leadership. Majority of these senator are from Kwara, Kogi and North central states. In the even that these senators defects as they are warming up for, the PDP senators in the National Assembly will increase to 70 and the APC will will decrease to 38. Nigerians are about to watch the re- creation of what happened at the National Assembly in 2014 and political expect have stated that the APC will not survive this development if not properly managed by its leadership. .This news is a cheap blackmail from the camp of saraki.Saraki doesn't have the of 20Apc senators, not to talk of 20senators defecting with him to PDP. The number of PDP senators that ed APC, were not up to to 15.In the Senate with 109 ,20,is a very significant number.If saraki decides now to defect to PDP, i can bet anything that the number of senators that will follow him to PDP will not be more than 10.Also,no senator who is a tactical politician will take the risk of leaving the governing party in dis very early stage.If the APC decides now to expel saraki,his base from APC senators will shrink,because it will be risky for them to leave APC when their govs is not ing them.
