Nollywood actress Omotola has come in defense of Senator-elect Ben Murray Bruce after he was criticized by many Nigerians for his political and anti-corruption tweets.

Following his recent tweets e.g exposing any politician who wants to bribe him and also blasting governors owing workers salaries,many Nigerians blasted him,calling him a hypocrite while others ed him.Omotola is one of the Nigerians who are in of him.

Omotola was right. Though people were just curious why Ben Bruce hadn't been this efficacious all the while. Trust Nigerians, they are the most complicated people on earth

Since I knew Ben Bruce, He has been vocal on the state of the nation.

Ben was the first in 2012 Subsidy debate to tell Ngozi Okonjo Iweala that her policies are wack. Ben said you cant remove subsidy without providing alternative transport system.

Google the subsidy debate of 2012 and know that Ben has been speaking long before those accusing him on twitter ever ed on twitter.

Ben is of the elite class, and so will not be toutish in approach, this is the first time he is coming in as an elected official.

If he has chosen now to make his voice more vocal in the interest of the masses, why crucify him.

Ben may not be perfect, no one is really, but to publicly criticize the same legislature he has been elected into?... i think he genuinely means well. Contrary to popular belief, the legislature is the most corrupt arm of govt. And i think that is why you see so many people trying to be a part of it. How can people who do nothing, except sit and make laws that favour them earn so much? Quite Baffling! Nigeria needs more people like Mr Bruce in government, who'll stand up, and fight for the greater good of the citizenry.

Ben Bruce was a private citizen before now and talking about criticism, his Radio and TV stations have been reporting happenings around the country. Right now he is a public citizen and owes it to his constituency and Nigerians at large to checkmate corruption and malpractices in the executive and among his colleagues. The problem with us in this country is that our politicians are more loyal to their godfathers than to the electorates. He's making the right step. And I don't think he is the kind of man that criticism from some twitters celebs can deter. Let's see how it goes, can't wait for may to be over.
