What's up y'all. As the Kings-Tourney is on its way of rounding up, We welcome you to the first official Nairaland "King-Of-Poet" tourney. Note:- This is a Topical Battle tourney,in which in various rounds(ranging to the finals) Two Textcees will be paired and given a Topic ,they both are to drop their verses which must be in accord to the said topic given. .(Note- -This aint a 'battle',shots won't be fired. It'll be judged on whose verse is more in accord with the topic). The winner (picked by the judges) will proceed on to the next round. Netcees should note that their verses for the said topic given should be based on the following criteria and points in which it'll be judged. Creativity-- 2 points (default) Entertainment-- 1 (depending on the theme) Flow--(default) 1 point Imagery- - 2 points (default) Rhyme Scheme-- 2 points (default) Consistency/Topic-- 4 points!! (default) Lit Elements/Metaphors-- 2 points (default) Vocabulary-- 2 points (default) Emotion - -1 point And the maximum number of lines for each verse should be 24Lines ,it shouldn't exceed that... If you know you're a talented Textcee in this art, your text-handling skills is top-notch,and makes you fit/worthy to be crowned The NL King-Of-Poet ,then put your money where your mouth is,.. This is the list of turn ins and we want to start preparing now. But before we proceed, anybody who wishes to pull out should indicate now. Assuming nobody wanna fall out, we had plan to start OFFICIALLY with 16 contestants, and that means the emboldened will have to fight for a sit! Only two people are needed. So after the first pairings, the 3 winners will do a 3 - way contest again, of which only one UNLUCKY person will be evicted. After this, our tourney will start proper So here we go! Clasiksam vs Heywhizzy RapAcme vs Devilmaycry Gladyys vs Obainojazz Don't be scared, it's going to be 5 bars for each brawl with different topics. Clasiksam:Bro, I'm just doing this so everyone who signed in should at least participate in this tourney. No ojoro inside. You're among the few who fall into this category. U've had only one brawl herw. Obainojazz has two, Gladyys has none, though she drops bars on the FFR thread. RapAcme has brawled here, though, but not in our fold. Heywhizzy, has one, Devilmaycry has none at all, and both have been dropping bars on FFR. We're looking for 2 out of this 6 to the rest, making it 16. ain't complaining but why will wack as fUkk captainflash be automatically qualified for a tourney and ppl far better than im will ave to go through qualification,..that dude hasn't proven his lyrical ability in anyway to be qualified . .this shouldn't be based on the amount of battle you have na. .jes saying tho
