As long as dere mouth can enter d feeder and eat, den use it.
It'll even avoid feed wastage and transmission of disease
the birds have been on super starter pellet feed and the 3rd bag will carry them till the 3rd week which is on Friday. I want to know if it's wise to switch to finisher thereafter or to wait till the 4th week

Nice work aysnoopy. Did you reduce the wall as was advised by someone at the beginning of the thread? I am a first timer too looking to raise 50 birds first, then 300 birds later before xmas. What's your advice for me, what should I be worried about?

This is my pen: 37ft by 20ft

1b8m: 9:14am On Aug 09, 2020
You said ideally, does it mean 2sqft per bird is acceptable because I intend to raise 450birds
EMMAACHILE:

Ideally 37*20/3= 250 broilers to 300 broilers max

I finally got to the end of this thread, religiously following every post right from page 1. Infact right now I feel like I have a PhD in chicken husbandry grin grin. However I still need the likes of emmaachile Turks obiageli etc to hold my hands from now onwards.

After much deliberations, I have decided to go into raising broilers. Below is my newly constructed pen house with 20 by 37 feet dimension. How much birds can this space take?
