The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps(NSCDC) is a para-military agency of the Government of Nigeria given the impetus for the provision of measures against threat and other forms of attack or disaster against the nation and her citizens. The Corps is statutorily empowered by Act No. 2 of 2003 and amended by Act 6 of 4th June 2007. The botched Immigration recruitment exercise was widely criticised for demanding money from jobless applicants. It is a sorry case that majority of applicants are just too eager to part with money when no such is demanded. No form is out yet but then i think it should be free.

Fellow nairalanders. As a staff of the said nscdc, I'd like to advise u all not to let anyone scam u! Nscdc doesn't sell forms and no one would tell u to pay in to any bank . A lot of people have lost money, some had been slept with, etc but none guarantee ur employment!

Infact, until the promotion of we insiders are done, nothing like recruitment or replacement will not likely, take place.

And if u'll notice, the recruitment was done every 2 years. I got in 2010. Replacements exercise took place 2012. So, if any thing was to come up, it would have been this year (2014) but so far, nothing of that sort took place.

So, keep ur money and use to eat! Don't lose ur virginity/potato because u want to enter civil defense o! A word is enough for the wise!

Update: We just got our promotion letters last week 29th May running through June 5th.

And that's 2010 entrants and below. Even d 2012 were not promoted yet.

So, no recruitment or replacement issues in the air for now. Not this year or next year.
