The nigeria mobile police entered Mubi, armed with tear gas sent the terrorist scampering for safety. A MOPOL friend called us from Mubi informing us of this development. Meanwhile our students and residents trapped in Cameroon returned yersterday after the govt sent buses escorted by this MOPOLs to bring them back. The entry of this MOPOLs into Mubi is seen as a slap to the military, the views of people now in town is that MOPOL should now take over the operation of chasing away this terrorist.

If this was true?
It shouldn't be a slap to the army,it should be a push to them to boost their moral.
We just like seeing negative side of things

Maybe a collabo between the Amy and MOPOL will do to trick in stamping and killing all these terrorists demons in human form.

There's no slapping anywhere - the police is charged with the internal security of the nation. Had they done their job well, this mess wouldn't have been as big as it is right now.

im just baffled at the way our once gallant armed forces just chicken-out to a rag-tag ill-trained, virgin seeking boys.
i read of their gallantry at the ecomog, UN peace keeping force et al.
while serving as a corps member, i usually ire the soldiers at the camp, they looked so tough and brave.
Now the scamper at the sound of gun shots and and take to their heels at the rumour of bokoharam advancement.
The million-dollar question is where/how did things fall apart in the nigerian army?

The army's morale isn't low because they can't defeat bokoharam. The morale of the army is low because they do not know who their real enemies are and this is the worst kind of warfare. Saboteurs within your own camp is the worst morale killer for any combatant.

Forget all the noise about BH being in possession of sophisticated weapons, the Nigerian army is still 1000 times more equipped and better trained than the rickety hungry looking insurgence. The only reason our military seems confused and seems too weak to crush BH is because of the enemy within. The soldiers no longer know where the allegiance of their commanders lies. A lot of strange 'orders from above' keep disorienting the soldiers and until the real enemy is tackled, the army will remain spineless.

Our military was able to gallantly undertake the ECOMOG and UN peace keeping missions because they did not have internal saboteurs.

Lol grin

You know maybe we shouldn't be too annoyed with all the news we keep getting , it could work as a strategy to defeat Western Media. So many news until, one day, no one believes any news anymore, thus rendering all the Nigeria-election-political-news, Western-news, Bokoharam- e-warriors-misinformation-news all worthless...

One day we read Alpha Jet shot down by Bokoharam and our brave pilot beheaded, we all morn, but then, next day, fishermen find missing Alpha Jet by the river undecided

Once, "No news used to be good news" now, "all news is no news"
